The painting contractor I hired sprayed this paint under the wooden eaves, on the wooden rafters, and on the wooden underside of a patio cover. I am concerned this is the wrong type of paint to use for that application.

Answer:
Hi Karen,
Thanks for your question! The Masonry Stucco and Brick Paint is not resistant to fire. Typically, if the surface will get too hot to touch, then it's considered too hot to paint with Behr paint. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Best wishes on your project! Sincerely, Jeanette P.

Howdy Karen,
This product is not heat resistant. The correct product would be to get "High Heat' paint.

Answer:
Hello erik,
Thank you for your interest in our products. Our Masonry, Stucco and Brick Paint is actually not designed to be used in a stipple pattern. At this time, we currently don’t manufacture a paint for the exterior that we recommend for a stipple pattern.
Best regards,
Kevin

1-gal. #MS-70 Evening Blues Flat Interior/Exterior Masonry, Stucco and Brick Paint is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Out performed a Hurricane Last spring I bought 40 gallons of this paint and shipped it to St. Jean du Sud, Haiti to be used to paint their church. Last month Hurricane Matthew hit the village destroying or heavily damaging 90% of the structures. The church rood was ripped from the building, but the Behr stucco paint held to the walls without damage. While the rood is being replaced there is no need to repaint the building. Thanks, Behr. I am sure that we will be buying more Behr paint to ship to Haiti in the coming months. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compliments from Neighbors on Quality of Paint Job It is one thing when we stand back and marvel at a good DIY job on your house. It is something else altogether when neighbor after neighbor and others in your housing development offer up unsolicited, genuine comments. I remodeled and repainted the entire outside of my 1980s ranch style stucco finish FL home using all Behr paints. I used Behr semi-glass ultra pure white for the trim; it brought it back to life. I used Behr Exterior Satin Enamel Autumn Tan to cover fiberboard over the garage and window trim. For the stucco finish I applied Masonry, Stucco, and Brick paint medium base in Sandstone Beige to cover a soft pastel pink that covered the entire house. I even dared myself to get creative and painted an "accent" stucco wall with Autumn Tan in Stucco paint. The stucco finish only required one coat; I used a very rough surface roller cover which worked ideally getting into the nooks and crannies of stucco. The fiberboard surfaces took two coats since the boarding was brand new. Due to the remodeling and repainting I have had several neighbors who have said that the paint job stands out and in all I updated the house 20 years to the 2000's. Now, my next project: my ranch style clapboard style house in NC. I already bought the Behr paint for inside and outside. Road trip! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Masonry and stucco paint on brown stone I live in the north east where some town houses are brownstone. The front of my house is all brown stone and was painted more than 20 years ago a few shades of what I'd call a greenish gray. I was able to match this paint to paint the stoop and touch up a few areas. The match is great. The paint covered very well. No problems there. The back of the house is mostly brick. The sills are brownstone. Since the sills have been painted before as well as badly stained and patched with cement I felt the best thing to do would be to just paint it the stones color. A sort of reddish brown. Goes nicely with the red brick. The problem... Even though the value is about the same as the color used on the front I can't get the masonry paint in this dark a color. Must have something to do with the red hue. Hey Behr... How about a deep base in masonry paint for us people who live in brownstones and want brownstone brown paint. Other than that I love Behr products and use them all the time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great on stucco and mortar I used this paint on the stucco walls on the 2nd floor of my home and it covered beautifully. I also had a can matched to my mortar color to touch up visible caulk around the 1st floor window casings which are set into stone after painting the window casings and it hid the white caulk perfectly making ti blend into the stucco around the window. It does take some getting used to as it is thick and stringy which makes it difficult not to drip when moving the brush toward the surface to be painted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Huge pitted and ridged Masonry wall..? I was recently faced with the task of painting a 90 ft wide wall by 20 ft, very pitted and ridged. I was thinking I would have to cover this wall at least twice possible three to four times. I picked Behr's Masonry, Stucco, & Brick paint. Amazingly, using a very thick roller, I was able to cover in one coat. This paint goes on thick and smooth, and has awesome covering power. I needed to only touch up some of the deeper pitting. You can see in the photo how deeply ridged and pitted this wall is. I had only one issue with Behr regarding this paint. I had another project that I wanted to use this paint in a satin finish. You can not buy 1 gallon cans in a deep tintable base either retail or online. Behr this is a wonderful product....Please make it available in 1 gallon tintable deep base, satin finish.. Online it is always pre-tinted., and it is not available retail.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's Always Midnight In My Backyard We have a large and unsightly stucco retaining wall in our rear yard. About 10 years ago I was inspired to paint it a bright cobalt blue (using Behr paint, of course, that is the only paint I use) As the wall gets a fair amount of sun, I was concerned about fading. And yes, fade it did. AFTER 10 YEARS! Earlier this summer I repainted it with Behr Masonry, Stucco, & Brick paint. I used a quality Home Depot roller and chose "Midnight Blue" for the color this time. I'm thrilled with the results! My plants and garden art "pop" against this beautiful color and my formerly boring wall is now a focal point of the yard. I wish I was able to post pictures for all to enjoy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Behr Stucco Paint First of all, I received a nice rebate on the 5-gallon pail. Thank you Behr. The paint went on nicely, cleaned up easily and looks great. I'm ready to start another section of my garden wall. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
