The painting contractor I hired sprayed this paint under the wooden eaves, on the wooden rafters, and on the wooden underside of a patio cover. I am concerned this is the wrong type of paint to use for that application.

Answer:
Hi Karen,
Thanks for your question! The Masonry Stucco and Brick Paint is not resistant to fire. Typically, if the surface will get too hot to touch, then it's considered too hot to paint with Behr paint. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Best wishes on your project! Sincerely, Jeanette P.

Howdy Karen,
This product is not heat resistant. The correct product would be to get "High Heat' paint.

Answer:
Hello erik,
Thank you for your interest in our products. Our Masonry, Stucco and Brick Paint is actually not designed to be used in a stipple pattern. At this time, we currently don’t manufacture a paint for the exterior that we recommend for a stipple pattern.
Best regards,
Kevin

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by confuse, not professional. My contract color code is Spiced Vinegar. Searched Homedept.com for this color, you find nothing from homdept.com. I did a search on GOOGLE for the color code. You will find the RGB rang is (20x, 18x, 14x). The good point about Homedept.com is there is RGB value in the SPEC. the BEHR Premium Model # 27001 Internet # 204166521 1-gal. #MS-29 Antique Gold Flat Interior/Exterior Masonry, Stucco and Brick Paint is in this range. After received the item, the color specified on the can is White 270, the labeled color on cover is Antique Gold. The sample color on the edge is white (see photo). It use used white-can fill Antique Gold color paint, very confuse, not professional. April 15, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do not buy this paint!!!! In the spring and summer of 2015 I painted the exterior stucco of my house with this paint. I used one-5 gallon container and 2/3 of a second 5-gallon container in a light cream color. In the summer of 2016 we did some exterior remodeling requiring touch-up of some stucco, including some large areas about 5' x 8'. The paint from the container did not match the existing stucco color from 2015. Several of the touch-up areas do not ever get direct sunlight. When I took back my container and a piece of stucco the paint desk associates agreed the paint no longer matched. The paint desk Assistant Manager agreed to give me a 1-gallon container of paint that would match the new stucco color, saying that my entire house paint had faded to a light yellow, perfectly even on all sides, including shaded areas, in just one year. Not only is the 20 year warranty not honored but the color is not UV nor fade resistant for even a short period of time. Now when I touch-up the new stucco with the new color is it going to fade? Think I will leave one area painted with the original color to see how long it takes to fade to match the original painted stucco from 2015. Home Depot does not care that I spent a great deal of time selecting what I thought would be the perfect color for my stucco only to have it change to a different color inside of one year. The odd think is that I asked the paint associate, at the time of purchasing the first 10 gallons of paint, why is stucco paint so special. The answer - because it is more fade resistant. The other odd thing is that I first bought a sample paint pot of several colors and tested them. Once I decided on the color that I liked I used the sample paint container up, not wanting to waste it. Now that the stucco paint has faded, the paint from the sample container shows up and never faded. Do NOT buy stucco paint! Whatever paint is used for the sample containers does not fade. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst paint ever This is the 3rd time I've painted the exterior of my stucco house white. The 1st with Benjamen Moore, the 2nd with Valspar both with no problems and one coat. This stuff simply does not go on evenly and is very visible in certain light, even with a 2nd and 3rd application. Some of it may be due to the Behr primer underneath but not the whole wall! I've been happy with Behr interior but this stuff sucks. I guess it's for flipper contractors that want to do a slap on job. July 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Clean I had a cement pad that my hot tub was on I got rid of the tub and the pad looked dirty so I decided to painted it with this paint and OMG I got nothing but compliments. One coat and easy to spread great color and paint . I put my BBQ on it and added a small canopy. Looks Great July 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Compliments from Neighbors on Quality of Paint Job It is one thing when we stand back and marvel at a good DIY job on your house. It is something else altogether when neighbor after neighbor and others in your housing development offer up unsolicited, genuine comments. I remodeled and repainted the entire outside of my 1980s ranch style stucco finish FL home using all Behr paints. I used Behr semi-glass ultra pure white for the trim; it brought it back to life. I used Behr Exterior Satin Enamel Autumn Tan to cover fiberboard over the garage and window trim. For the stucco finish I applied Masonry, Stucco, and Brick paint medium base in Sandstone Beige to cover a soft pastel pink that covered the entire house. I even dared myself to get creative and painted an "accent" stucco wall with Autumn Tan in Stucco paint. The stucco finish only required one coat; I used a very rough surface roller cover which worked ideally getting into the nooks and crannies of stucco. The fiberboard surfaces took two coats since the boarding was brand new. Due to the remodeling and repainting I have had several neighbors who have said that the paint job stands out and in all I updated the house 20 years to the 2000's. Now, my next project: my ranch style clapboard style house in NC. I already bought the Behr paint for inside and outside. Road trip! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] June 22, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible coverage, too inconsistent between containers I bought one gallon of this paint over Memorial Day weekend to test the coverage. It covered about 150 sq.ft. on a fine finish stucco. It's half of the claim on the container (250-400 sq. ft), but at least I was prepared. I then bought four 5-gallon buckets to finish the job. The first two buckets rolled on as expected and covered some hairline cracks nicely. Sadly, everything went downhill with the third bucket. When stirring it, it was noticeably thinner than the other two buckets. I started to roll it on and it wasn't covering nearly as well. I checked the fourth bucket and unfortunately it was the same as the third (both of these had the same batch numbers). The coverage dropped down to ~80 sq.ft., PLUS I had to coat it twice just to match the texture of the first two buckets. So, their coverage went from a claim of 250 sq.ft. down to 150 sq.ft., then down to 80 sq.ft. and requiring two coats (so covering only 40 sq.ft.). I went back to Home Depot and told them what was going on. They replaced the two 5-gallon buckets for me, but it's still the same terrible coverage. These were new buckets that were still wrapped on the pallets in the overhead storage area. I'm not sure if this just happened to be a bad batch or if the quality went down that much on their most recent paint. Either way, I highly suggest avoiding this paint. I'm now stuck in the middle of the job and will need to buy more paint just to make up for the lack of coverage, plus I have to roll on twice as much. Not fun! June 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product and quality for an unbeatable price! I'm a master painter of trade and have been using several products throughout my +30 years of experience. I have been using this particular product from Behr for the past 8 years. I have been using it for exterior stucco, brick and masonry and it bonds really well and has an end result I'm looking for as a professional. Not only does it bond well on these surfaces, but with exterior work and overlapping wood work, it seams to perform well in this matter too. I even used it on my own house and after 7 years....It looks great!! Behr have been a brand for quality and serve me well as for the convenience for me and my business. Dumb Up for this one and good luck with your project!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] May 7, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Huge pitted and ridged Masonry wall..? I was recently faced with the task of painting a 90 ft wide wall by 20 ft, very pitted and ridged. I was thinking I would have to cover this wall at least twice possible three to four times. I picked Behr's Masonry, Stucco, & Brick paint. Amazingly, using a very thick roller, I was able to cover in one coat. This paint goes on thick and smooth, and has awesome covering power. I needed to only touch up some of the deeper pitting. You can see in the photo how deeply ridged and pitted this wall is. I had only one issue with Behr regarding this paint. I had another project that I wanted to use this paint in a satin finish. You can not buy 1 gallon cans in a deep tintable base either retail or online. Behr this is a wonderful product....Please make it available in 1 gallon tintable deep base, satin finish.. Online it is always pre-tinted., and it is not available retail. September 20, 2015
