I see different flecks of color in the paint. Does the paint roll on like this, or is that accent added in with other techniques? Just unsure because most of these products have one solid color. Or does the paint have all this inside? Thank you.

Answer:
it is a solid color, but I made it look uneven applying it with a sponge. Great product, it dries fast.

Hi Anonymous,
Thank you for your interest in our Behr Premium Semi-Transparent Concrete Stain.
The Semi-Transparent Concrete Stain is designed to allow the texture and the natural tone of concrete to show through, however the more coats applied, the more even and solid the finish becomes. The flecks you are seeing are aggregate in the concrete substrate, which is an example of how the finish could look if your concrete is etched properly and porous.
As per the directions on the label, spray Semi-Transparent Concrete Stain using a high quality pump sprayer. Spray using a circular motion and allow to dry (if you desire a natural stone look) or immediately back roll with a 3/8" nap roller (if you desire a uniform look). Please follow all label instructions to ensure proper surface preparation and application instructions.

Just wondering how transparent this stain is. I would like to add a little bit of color to my travertine tile without loosing the variety of colors in the tile. Can I buy a sample of this color? Also, how long does the stain last? Thank you for your help!

Answer:
Hi Anonymous,
Thanks for your interest in our Behr Premium Semi-Transparent Concrete Stain. Our Semi-Transparent Concrete Stain is not suitable on Travertine tiles. Travertine is commonly very dense and does not allow stains to penetrate and adhere properly. Our Semi-Transparent Concrete Stain is ideal for properly prepared uncoated porous concrete surfaces.

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 20 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worked great on brick! We have brick floors in our basement bedrooms. They have gotten worn over the years and needed a clean up. We initially tried powerwashing, but that left lines on the brick. I bought this stain and put on a thin coat with a roller (after edging the room with a paintbrush). The results were fantastic! It soaked into the brick and left a matte finish (before and after picture is glossy as the stain had not yet dried). The brick floor looks brand new! I will be applying the low-lustre sealant tonight. July 13, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Prep and Prime I've been a floor coating contractor for over 40 years. This product will perform as promoted, but you MUST follow all the directions re. prep and priming to avail yourself of the advertised properties. In addition I would recommend a clear coat for maximum splash and spill protections. I get the best results applying with an HVLP gun, and the results can be FANTASTIC!!! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great finishing I have this as a semittransparent project and look great , dont forget to have the clear seal to have it protected [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] September 22, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Older home needed refreshing We have an older home with plaster walls. We had put other paint on the walls and could not get an even flawless coat no matter how hard we tried. Over the summer we bought Behr all in one paint with primer included and we were amazed. One coat and we had beautiful color, and flawless even coats. I will never purchase another brand again. Thank you Behr you are amazing. September 17, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by LOVE this concrete stain! Transformed an ugly basement floor into a beauty! I love the new look! Used one of the reviews (Thanks, BellaBee) as a guide, and prepped first, then rag-rolled colors on. Besides using Loden, Warm Shale, and Chicory, I also used Water Stone and Dark Charcoal. It's important to note there are no specks in the paint as the samples show. Applied the Wet-Look Sealer which makes the floor shine and is impervious to scratching. I've slid heavy furniture around, with no scratch marks! April 25, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Favorite room in the house! We pretty much did everything by Behr instructions and the results are amazing! When we pulled up our carpet, the floors didn’t have glue on it. It looks like there was once a floor down that was glued, but there was no glue on the floor this time. There, however, was platters and spills of paint and product where they blew the ceiling. The small paint spots came up with the etching, a little bit of scrapping but the large spill did not, even after etching twice. We should have done the paint stripper, but we opted to sand cause it was just one large spot, not the whole floor. The cleaner and etching was a job! This product goes a long way, really. The only problem we had here on the first two sections we done was us adding to much product to the floors. The more I mopped, the more it seemed to foam up. It took a lot of cleaning before I finally got it all up. Not many will be able to do this, but I ended up getting a squeegee from Home Depot, our shop vac, and the water hose. After the product sit it allotted time, I used the water hose on low stream to clean the etching off the floor. I turned the shop vac on and tilted it in a way to suck up the water without me holding it. I used the squeegee to get it all suck up. After figuring that all out, it went by faster. We let dry the time it said, but I think we could have started bonding sooner. Next came the Behr bonding primer. We put on with a roller, EASY as painting! No issues here, let dry according to the instructions. Lastly the stain. First issue we had, not with the stain but the sprayer we got from Home Depot, it was awful. The nozzle didn’t work worth a flip. I think if we had fanned the color on, it would have looked nice, so if you are wanting the swirly look of colors, light and dark, get a good sprayer!! Not the one HD recommends or has over in the stain department. After the sprayer wouldn’t work, we just used a roller, which is fine, made the color more even. In my picture, that is 3 coats of stain. The floor we did was 20x12, 240SF. We used One bottle of etcher, one can of primer, and one can of stain. Had not been for the sprayer, we got a beautiful floor for under $100 and in only 3 days. I’ve already recommended it to several, and some are going to try it. I’m eager to see how it will weather the traffic, spills, dogs, and all normal everyday activities. I am pleased with the ease of the product and most definitely the outcome. My floor is gorgeous! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great for lanai! This stuff is great for re-staining your lanai. The hot Florida sun does a number on exposed surfaces and this product holds up well. This is the 2nd time we have used this and we're happy with it! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] April 22, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great stain for around pool! We wanted to freshen up our plain gray aggregate on our patio. We used Dessert Flagstone and it made it a nice fresh tan color. Really glad we bought! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] April 22, 2015
