Purchased two of these kits for our two-car garage after the Behr representative at the store talked us into it. I had read poor reviews about this product and was going to buy a different concrete paint, but the guy talked me into it and that's my fault. Followed all instructions and applied the paint to the concrete floor. It looked great and it was easy to apply, dried fast. Instructions said not to walk/put anything in the garage for 3 days. Did that. We had some paint left over and we used it on a concrete walkway (covered area). In less than a week, the paint is already peeling off. What a disappointment. I'm going to have to purchase a sealer before the whole thing comes off. If the paint had stuck, it would be a good product.

We purchased two of these, in the Tan color. The labels were slightly different, but the color code was the same: 955. However, the product inside was VERY different. One came out ok, the other, a disaster requiring a redo of the whole job.
In the good one, the paint in the container contains the tan colorant, ie, the paint is tan. In the bad one, the paint was white, and the colorant was actually in the epoxy can. The colorant had hardened and I had to dig it out of the can. It took a good 25-30 min of stirring to mix it. It came out a noticeably different color and sheen. But the worst part, it remains water soluble even 3 weeks after application. If it gets wet, it softens and comes right off! Totally Defective Product! So make sure you check the color of the paint inside the container - if it's white, DON"T BUY IT!!!
For both containers the coverage was less than the label stated (which is why we had to buy a second one).

This product had me completely sold after I did part of my garage first. When I went to do the second half, for some reason part of it dried darker than the rest. It was the trim work and the whole edge that I put on the floor first. I stirred it for the full 5 minutes before starting so I'm not sure what else could have happened. I don't want to spend another $80 to fix it, so I'm probably just going to live with it for now. Overall it covered well, went on fast, and it really made a difference in my garage.

I purchased the Silver Gray 2-Part Epoxy Garage Floor Coating Kit for a 13' x 16' basement floor that I intend to use as a shop. See picture 1. The kit performed as advertized on this fairly rough 208 sqft floor, with a bit left over. See picture 2. I was concerned about coverage, because the box said 250 sqft, yet the included instructions said 200-250 sqft. I brushed the edges and rolled the floor in 3' rows. I was concerned that the not-so-wet-edge of the mating rows would be visible, but they dried evenly and you can't notice them. As I completed each row, I dispersed the flakes, as instructed. Unfortunately the flakes, as you might expect, just sit on top of the epoxy. See picture 3. They are not assimilated, and as the floor dries, some of the flakes - flake off. I solved the problem with the flakes by purchasing a Rust-Oleum EpoxyShield Clear High-Gloss Premium Clear Floor Coating Kit. Behr doesn't have a clear coat epoxy and I didn't want to use an their acrylic sealer. That is why I had to go with Rustoleum. There was enough epoxy in this kit to apply a single heavy coat. See picture 4. This top clear coat really made the floor come out like I expected and the flakes are well assimilated. See picture 5. Good luck on your floor.

I had a painter do my garage and he suggested this product for the floor. My floor was already painted and the instructions were not clear on how the etching solution would affect the paint. therefore it required an extra day to scrape the bubbled up paint from the floor then clean it. the final product looks good however I have already (three days after application) had one bubble of the product peel off. Also one gallon covered only 1/2 of the garage floor surface and the product is unavailable in larger containers. my garage is a very small one car (house built in the 60's) I can't imagine any garage needing less than 3 gallons

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dave Worked just like advertised.
Seem to work just like the BEHR rep said it would. He stressed that the key was the preperation of the concrete. The prep work was the hardest. I would recommend a diamond sander over the etching process. I had to etch the concrete 4 times and it was new concrete. I think renting a diamond sander would of been easier and less expensive. But the Behr product was easy to mix, easy to apply as it had the roller, brush and mixing stick. Covered what it said it would cover and looks great and so far seems to very durable and chemical resistant. I also covered my wood steps into the house and now they are more durable. Follow instructions and you will be satisfied.
