Answer:
I am thinking that was from improper prepping of the concrete. Need to make sure you etch or sand the concrete. Plus make sure you let the epoxy set for 3 to 4 days. Hot weather helps with the setting process as well.

How long ago did you paint your garage? Sounds like there wasn't a good bond between your concrete and the paint. If it's new paint, did you allow it to dry long enough? I believe they suggest 3 days minimum before driving on it.

Answer:
Yes it does come with the etching. Need to dilute it one part water to one part etch. I would recommend etching the concrete twice which would require another purchase of etching. The prep work is the key. I did not put 2 coats of the coating. It covered fine with one. Make sure you drench the roller with the epoxy at the start. If not the first few times the roller rolls out thin.

Yes it does. I prefer to etch the concrete with a floor buffer instead of the acid. That way you don't get the floor wet cleaning the acid off.

DO NOT apply on surfaces subject to hydrostatic pressure. All interior concrete floors are subject to possible moisture vapor rising from under the concrete, which may cause coating failure. Test for moisture by taping a 3' x 3' (1 x 1 m) piece of plastic directly to the concrete using duct tape on all edges. Allow the plastic to sit for 24 hours. If water droplets appear on the inside of the plastic after 24 hours or if the concrete is damp, the surface contains moisture and the floor should not be painted. Moisture problem must be corrected before coating.
DO NOT apply over surfaces that have been treated with a concrete sealer or waterproofer. Test the surface by dripping a small amount of water onto the surface. If water beads and continues to stay on top, it indicates that a sealer is present and the BEHR PREMIUM® 2-PART EPOXY may not adhere. The sealer must be removed before using this product. After stripping, re-test the surface for water absorbency.
DO NOT use over loose or peeling previously painted surfaces. Test for loose, flaking paint by cutting an “X” in the paint with a single edge razor blade. Apply a piece of duct tape over the “X” and press firmly, then pull it off with an abrupt action. If the tape does not pull the paint from the surface, it can be coated. If the existing paint is removed, the loose paint should be removed down to a sound substrate using a product such as BEHR PREMIUM® CONCRETE & MASONRY PAINT STRIPPER NO. 992.
DO NOT use over loose or damaged concrete or if concrete dust is present. If the concrete is loose, chipping (spalled), or has concrete dust present, the coating will not adhere properly. Test for loose, flaking concrete by pressing a piece of masking or cellophane tape at various places, then pull it off with an abrupt action. If the tape does not pull the concrete from the surface, it can be coated. If the existing concrete is removed, the loose concrete must be removed down to a sound substrate. Loose or damaged concrete and cracks must be filled with a suitable concrete based patching material. Remove concrete dust using using a product such as BEHR PREMIUM® CONCRETE & MASONRY DEGREASER & CLEANER NO. 990. Follow all label instructions.
Preparation
The following steps are recommended for best results.
For New or Uncoated Concrete
New concrete must cure for a minimum of 30 days.
The surface must be clean, dry and free of dust, dirt, grease, oil, curing agents and all other contaminants.
For proper penetration and adhesion of topcoat, use BEHR PREMIUM CONCRETE CLEANER & ETCHER (included in kit). Wear protective clothing, eye goggles and acid resistant rubber gloves and footwear. Dissolve all concentrated powder with 1 gallon (4 litres) of warm water in a plastic container and stir. Pre-wet the surface with water. Apply all solution using a plastic watering can. One gallon of dissolved solution will etch and clean approximately 200-250 sq. ft. (19-23 m2). Allow product to stand for 10 minutes, then scrub vigorously using a stiff plastic brush.
Rinse surface thoroughly using a garden hose with the nozzle set in a stream pattern or pressure wash for best results. Allow the surface to dry completely.
For Previously Coated Concrete (Oil or Water Base Finishes)
Previously painted concrete may be repainted only if it has excellent adhesion to the floor.
Remove any loose or peeling paint by sanding (medium grit paper) or wire brushing the surface. To completely remove all existing coating, use a product such as BEHR PREMIUM CONCRETE & MASONRY PAINT STRIPPER NO. 992.
Dull glossy surfaces by scuff-sanding or using a chemical deglosser.
The surface must be clean, dry and free of dust, dirt, grease, oil or other contaminants. Use BEHR PREMIUM CONCRETE CLEANER & ETCHER (Included in kit) to clean and etch the surface. Follow all label instructions.
Rinse surface thoroughly using a garden hose with the nozzle set in a stream pattern. Allow the surface to dry completely.
IMPORTANT
Excess residue may interfere with the adhesion of the BEHR PREMIUM 2-PART EPOXY GARAGE FLOOR COATING. Wipe your fingers over the clean floor to check for dust or powder. If residue is visible on your fingers, repeat the rinsing step. Remove excess water with a squeegee or mop.
Remove any remaining oil or grease spots on your concrete using a product such as BEHR PREMIUM CONCRETE & MASONRY DEGREASER & CLEANER NO. 990. Follow all label instructions.
Note: The floor must be thoroughly cleaned, completely rinsed and dry for the coating to adhere properly to the surface.
Mixing of Floor Coating
Remove all the items from inside the container.
Pour Activator into liquid side of container and stir thoroughly for at least 5 minutes or until you achieve a uniform color.
DO NOT leave container in direct sunlight and keep lid closed when product is not in use.
DO NOT mix color flakes with epoxy. Toss color flakes onto wet film.
This product must be used within 4 hours of initial mixing (pot life).
Application
DO NOT THIN PRODUCT.
Use product when air and surface temperatures are between 50-95°F. (10-35°C).
Do all trim areas first using the 2" (50 mm) trim brush provided.
Apply an even coat using a 3/8" nap roller cover at a spread rate not to exceed 200-250 sq. ft. (19-23 m2) per gallon.
Maintain a wet edge to avoid lap marks.
While only one coat is recommended for most applications, a second coat may be applied for increased sheen and optimum performance (apply second coat in the perpendicular direction from the first coat).
Optional (Use of Decorative Flakes): If planning to use the color decorative flakes, apply BEHR PREMIUM 2-PART EPOXY GARAGE FLOOR COATING in 3' X 3' (1 x 1 m) sections. Immediately toss the color flakes randomly like “rain fall” directly onto the wet painted surface. Be careful not to over-apply the amount of flakes in any one area.
Dry Time
Dries to touch in two hours at 77°F and 50% humidity.
The floor may be subjected to light foot traffic after 6-8 hours. Allow 24 hours before subjecting surface to heavy foot traffic or repositioning furniture. Allow at least 3 days drying before subjecting painted surface to automobile tires.
Additional dry time is needed in cooler temperatures and higher humidity.
Premature heavy traffic will cause coating failure, which may require spot recoating.
Wait 7 days before rinsing or cleaning with a mild detergent.
Clean Up
Clean up brushes, roller covers and tools immediately after use with soap and water. Properly dispose of all soiled rags. For disposal of empty containers and unused paint, contact your household refuse collection service.

Rated 3.1 out of 5 by 27 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Turned out mostly looking good This product had me completely sold after I did part of my garage first. When I went to do the second half, for some reason part of it dried darker than the rest. It was the trim work and the whole edge that I put on the floor first. I stirred it for the full 5 minutes before starting so I'm not sure what else could have happened. I don't want to spend another $80 to fix it, so I'm probably just going to live with it for now. Overall it covered well, went on fast, and it really made a difference in my garage. May 27, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Almost got it right I purchased the Silver Gray 2-Part Epoxy Garage Floor Coating Kit for a 13' x 16' basement floor that I intend to use as a shop. See picture 1. The kit performed as advertized on this fairly rough 208 sqft floor, with a bit left over. See picture 2. I was concerned about coverage, because the box said 250 sqft, yet the included instructions said 200-250 sqft. I brushed the edges and rolled the floor in 3' rows. I was concerned that the not-so-wet-edge of the mating rows would be visible, but they dried evenly and you can't notice them. As I completed each row, I dispersed the flakes, as instructed. Unfortunately the flakes, as you might expect, just sit on top of the epoxy. See picture 3. They are not assimilated, and as the floor dries, some of the flakes - flake off. I solved the problem with the flakes by purchasing a Rust-Oleum EpoxyShield Clear High-Gloss Premium Clear Floor Coating Kit. Behr doesn't have a clear coat epoxy and I didn't want to use an their acrylic sealer. That is why I had to go with Rustoleum. There was enough epoxy in this kit to apply a single heavy coat. See picture 4. This top clear coat really made the floor come out like I expected and the flakes are well assimilated. See picture 5. Good luck on your floor. March 24, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not a good product, epoxy is peeling Followed all the instructions and maintained floor clean, 6 years later the epoxy is peeling. October 28, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worked just like advertised. Seem to work just like the BEHR rep said it would. He stressed that the key was the preperation of the concrete. The prep work was the hardest. I would recommend a diamond sander over the etching process. I had to etch the concrete 4 times and it was new concrete. I think renting a diamond sander would of been easier and less expensive. But the Behr product was easy to mix, easy to apply as it had the roller, brush and mixing stick. Covered what it said it would cover and looks great and so far seems to very durable and chemical resistant. I also covered my wood steps into the house and now they are more durable. Follow instructions and you will be satisfied. April 22, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by pure fantasy i can guarantee you the picture on the box is of a floor immediately after the coating was applied, and perhaps before it has even fully dried. there is no way any garage floor coated with this product would look like that after a vehicle has parked on it even just once, no matter how closely the instructions are followed. the etcher is a joke as far as prepping a real garage floor to accept a coat of any product. don't bother with it. if it isn't a new garage floor, lightly grind off the very top surface to prep it for whatever you put down. this epoxy is product VERY THIN (most will evaporate) and there is BARELY enough to cover a 1-car garage, so as soon as it dries it will be like the thinnest layer of paint you can imagine. no matter how long you let it dry, it is a magnet for hot tire marks. you will have thick black treadmarks the first time you drive around and park on this surface, and odds are your tires will pull up this covering where you park within a week even if you follow all the instructions. it is money down the drain and a waste of time and effort. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Did the job pretty straight forward on application. It did take two coats however. When the instructions stated to get a good consistent coverage on the chips by throwing in the air...it is correct...and fun...I looks great and the envy of the neighborhood...Loved the gray just could not bring myself to use more tan. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible Results The product has fairly easy to follow instructions, and looks wonderful when finished but....., after soon after driving on the product it picks up even when the tires are not hot!!!!. I prepared the surface with a cleaning agent, muriatic acid and then the kit supplied cleaner/etcher, rolled on the epoxy and 3 coats of their recommended wet look sealer. I looked amazing, came out better then I was expecting. My friends thought I had it professionally done. I had a plenty of time to look at the empty garage because I waited the recommended 14 days before driving on the floor. I bought a laser temperature gun to make sure the tires were always cool before driving in for the evening, my neighbors even commented on how I would always come home and wait till night to pull my cars in. Now it has only been a few weeks and the area under my tires are pulling up like crazy. Looks terrible and not sure what to do. I know most people get in a hurry and do not follow the recommended instructions from the manufacture so I was not in a hurry and followed them to a tee, I even made a few phone calls to the Customer Service for clarification but all for not, crummy product that I believe is inferior and should not be on the store shelves. My friend has one of Behrs competitors products in his garage and 6 years later its comparable to mine in less then 3 months. October 29, 2015
