Answer:
I believe you could use this on a concrete floor, in fact I'm going to use this in my basement utility room.
Make sure the floor is really clean before applying paint.

Answer:
Yes it is for concrete floor but the label says rubber tires will pull it up if you park your car on it, so for basement floors only or similar . Also, wood floors too. The silver grey looks great on the basement floor. This is not epoxy, just good floor paint. Clean up with soap and water, low fumes/ low VOC.

I was just recently told about Deck Over.. Would you say that "regular" Porch and Patio floorpaint would give me the same supposed good results as Deck Over? I will be repainting an old deck and the concrete floor on my porch..Thanks

Answer:
DO NOT use the Deck Over paint! Myself as well as everyone I know that have used it, it is junk and won't last longer than a season. My husband is currently sanding the remaining deck over paint off our deck and just staining it. The deck over paint was terrible and peeled off only after one summer. We used the porch paint on our front steps and it has held up much better than the deck over.

Hello jadesothermimi,
Great question! Yes, as long as the correct surface prep and application is done, we would expect the Porch & Patio Floor paint to hold up well to foot traffic, UVs, and the rest of the elements, just as the DeckOver does.
Best wishes for your deck and concrete floor!

Good for decks?

I've been going back and forth with a painter. He says no, this is not for decks. I know it says porches, but porches can be either concrete or wood.
My deck is in sunlight, heavily trafficked and subject to hot summers and cold winters. Is this the best paint (not stain) to use?

Answer:
Hi Frjk,
Thanks for checking in! You can absolutely use this paint on decks- it has all the weatherproofing and durability needed for an exterior floor, even in direct sunlight.
I hope this helps!

I'm looking to paint my front porch, it's cement. Will it dry slick/slippery/smooth? I just don't want it to become a falling hazard. Thanks!

Answer:
Hi Agtison,
Thanks for writing in! The Porch and Patio Floor Paint won't dry to a slick finish, but may be slippery when wet. You may be interested in mixing in a pouch of our No. 970 Non Skid Additive which will add texture to the finish. Hope this helps, and good luck on your project!

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 45 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Coverage! I've used this product twice for cleaning up dungeon-like basements. In both homes I used it for the cement slab floors, and also for the old wood steps in one. Just pour it on the floors and roll. I had a hard time getting good coverage on the wood steps with other paints, but this did it! September 16, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Got the job done Work as well as expected. Good value, too soon to review protection. December 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very good paint, the sales rep. recommended for me. The paint went on without hardly dripping any paint at all. Covered nicely. August 5, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good quick drying paint Used to paint basement concrete floor and wooden stairs. Paint goes on easily and dries quickly. Good coverage. Very happy with this paint but wish it were a little harder. Alkyd paints in the past seemed to have a somewhat better wear resistance (in my opinion), however this paint is pretty good. Will use again. December 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good quality product I used this product on my porch steps and landing. I followed directions and stayed off it for 72 hours. It is holding up very well. True test will be this winter. Easy application. September 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works Beautifully! Looks Wonderful! The low luster porch and patio floor paint looks fabulous Went on over paint in one coat. Has stood up to the harsh rain and wind we have had. I will recommend it to everyone. June 23, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Behr paint White wash equivalent, save $ and buy Glidden. The best paint is Benjamin Moore, but pricey. May 23, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Stuff Stirs easy - Fast Drying - Tough - I'd use this again and again. April 8, 2015
