Used this stuff on some projects over two weeks ago and it is still sticky. Wouldn't recommend using it.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by Rick Scuffed and Peeling
My dad and I bought the stain last August, and prepared the deck like the directions said. We used good brushes to put the stain on. The deck is made of cedar. This summer when we went out on the deck we noticed it had many spots that were peeling. I am very disappointed with this product because we bought 5 gallons and spent a good amount of time preparing and applying the stain. We live in Wisconsin, so the snow was pretty heavy this past year, but Behr guarantees their product that is one reason we decided to go with them over Thompsons. I do not like bad reviews or posting them, but when you spend good money on a product, you want the product to be great, and it just is not. Thanks anyways! :(

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Doug BEHR Redwood Stain
Long term project to cover an aging deck. Difference in appearance is remarkable. Followed recommendation to brush in lieu of spraying. A bit more work but a very satisfying outcome. Should have have bought the give gallon size to take full advantage of rebates.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by Chet1234 Orange and solid, barely transparent
I will start off by telling you that if you are expecting semi transparent you are going to be disappointed. The redwood color is barely transparent, way too solid. To make matters worse the "redwood" color is ORANGE, not redwood. I applied the product to a cleaned and power washed deck. Applied the product in the morning so that it was cool enough. I have a very large deck and this is the fourth time staining it, but first time with a Beyer product.
I am rating this product a 3 star for now as i am not sure how well the product will actually work, right now it seems to be sitting too high or on top of the wood - lending credibility to other reviewers that state the product peels off very quickly on flat surfaces. For almost $40 a gallon I would expect much much better from Beyer.
