No complaints on the quality of the product. Goes on smooth and covers very well. Maybe a little too well for some. This IS their “solid color” version. It looks a bit more like paint than stain. We live in Georgia and it was HOT this weekend. The can says use only up to 90 degrees. Believe them. This is a fast drying product (advantage), but when the temp goes over 90 your brushes, pads, paint trays, etc. will start to dry up. Plan your day accordingly. My only complaint is the color. Not true to any of their illustrations. Not as shown on the web page and not as shown on the sales brochure I picked up. Attached is a picture of our completed railing around the lower patio. Lucky me I started here instead of on our large, elevated deck. Finished a quarter of it and wife said, “It’s ORANGE”. Next quarter, she said “It’s OK, I guess”. Third quarter, “It’s OK, I guess”. Finished it and she said, “No, I hate it. It’s ORANGE!”. The picture is taken at noon, camera in the shade, shooting into the sunny railing. The picture is true to color. This color is NOT as Behr shows it.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by ConradL Great product, but time will tell.
It applied easily to our old deck support posts, with little or no drips. Dry mountain air did cause it to dry quickly on the brush however, so quick working, and covering unused portion constantly was necessary. REally unhappy with the rebate program however. Since I purchased it on line and had it delivered, there was no register receipt and dealing with a 3rd party rebate distributor has been a nightmare and time waster. Not sure we will ever get the 10 dollar a gallon rebate.

So I procrastinated, and ended up facing what appeared to be the last day to stain my deck before temperatures dropped. I started out simply intending to apply something to the deck to get it through Winter, and look to replacing most of the boards in Spring/Summer. I had originally bought a water seal product, but after reading so many negative reviews, I went back to HD to come up with another solution.
I will tell you, about the only things I did correctly was use a product to clean the deck (Rustoleum deck cleaner - which didn't do much to clean the deck honestly) and apply it above 50*F (it was about 70*, not sure of the humidity). I did a hurry up job because it was supposed to rain the next day. Well, it ended up raining maybe 7 hours after application. Didn't faze this stuff - it was dry to the touch in 40 minutes, and a week later, there are no signs of damage.
Coverage was excellent. Even with me rushing, it ended up near perfect. I used a 1" nap roller for most of the actual deck surface (forgot to get it at HD and it was the roughest my local hardware store had). I used a rough surface paint pad for the railings/etc. 1 1/4" nap probably would have been better for my beat up, tired deck. It seems almost goof proof, though.
Only possible negative is that the color (Redwood) turned out brighter than it appeared on the in store "example" boards. In my case, this wasn't a bad thing, as my house is red brick. At first I was worried, but now that I can stand back and look at it, I like it.
Overall, I am very pleased with this product. I'd say skip those "deck restoration" products (Google them for reviews) and give this a shot. Oh, and when my roller extension broke (not an HD product) I had to finish on my hands and knees. Got the stain all over my hands and arms. It washed off easily with Lava soap.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by rpredoli Great for cedar fences!
We chose the terra cotta color for this paint and I used an airless paint sprayer to do my entire backyard wood fence. One coat coverage and the look is fantastic! Just like I have a new fence. The paint penetrated the wood quickly, dried quickly, and still let the wood grain come through.

I love this stain. It goes on somewhat thick to give great protection, and I can almost feel it seeping into my old wood. I did the balusters a couple of years ago, and they still look freshly painted. This year I did the floor, and given the age of the wood, it really made such a huge difference.

I just was wondering if anyone else had this happen with the Atlantic or if they mixed it wrong? I am posting the picture of the sample compared to what came out when I painted my siding.
