Answer:
Hello Kel,
Great question. Normally to remove our stain we recommend using our Behr Premium Wood Stain & Finish Stripper No. 64. However, that would remove the paint underneath as well if those surfaces were previously painted. Another option would to lightly sand off the semi-transparent stain.
Best regards,
Kevin

Hello candy,
Great question. Yes, the color SC-140 Bright Tamra is available in our regular paints. You can just provide your local Home Depot paint associate with the color I.D (SC-140) and color name (Bright Tamra).
Best regards,
Kevin

Answer:
Hello Wong,
We appreciate your question. No, our wood stains like this one are only designed for exterior use. If needing a semi-transparent wood stain and not a solid color floor paint like our Porch & Patio Floor paint, then you might check with Home Depot for another brand's coating that could work for your project. Best wishes!

Hello Sandy,
Thank you for your interest in our products. If some parts of the fence are darker than others, then you might still be able to see the different shades once our Semi-Transparent stain is applied since are stain is designed to have transparency. 1-gal. #ST-116 Woodbridge Semi-Transparent Weatherproofing Wood Stain is rated 3.1 out of 5 by 347.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Avoid at all costs So far I've applied this twice this spring. The first time I sprayed it on and it never cured (even after weeks it was sticky). I was told I must have over applied and should strip it and start over . After striping, cleaning and prepping again I applied two thin coats with a brush to the specifications on the can. Again I'm left with a very sticky deck. Now I've spent over $200 just to make my deck unusable. I can't describe how disappointing and discouraging this has been. I'm an avid DIYer and this is easily the worst product I've ever used. I wish I would have read more reviews before purchasing. DO NOT BUY THIS.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from 4 Months later, wood is absorbing water I applied this on my deck, about 25 years old. The deck was previously coated with a waterproofing product from a different manufacturer. I saw the advertisements for Behr having longer durability than others, and I decided to give it a try. 4 months later, rain water is not beading, but appears to be soaking into the wood. I used it according to instructions, the old clear waterproofing product was off, and no water was beading on the deck. Applied two coats of this product, used just about as much as is suggested based on the square footage for my deck, so I assume the thickness of the application was was at least in the right ballpark. I should add that the deck is barely used. We use our screened in porch, and the deck is next to it, but I only go out there to use the grill, even though that part of the deck is quite large. I think the color of the product is amazing - the deck looks spectacular. The only thing is that it doesn't appear to be 'weather proofing' the wood. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Go to for exterior staining/sealing As a contractor, decks and porches keep me busy in the summer and this stain is my go to product. I have used it on decks, porches and playgrounds. It is the best I've found when it comes to coverage, durability and consumer friendly uses and clean up. I've brushed and sprayed applied this stain and every time I have had beautiful results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Glow On Wood Fencing Haven't gone wrong with BEHR coatings yet. The All-In-One Wood Stain & Sealer really lets the wood grain pop out. Covers well, provides a solid film that looks like it will last. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from garbage product. buying this will cost you 3 times as much in a year or two just to get it off I listened to the sales rep, then followed all of the instructions and had my deck completely prepped and ready to coat with what i thought was a premium product. What a waste of money and time. It is supposed to have a six year guarantee, it didn't even last a year before it started peeling. It seriously peels like 30 year old paint. Now i have to spend more money and time just to get it off. And the guarantee is worthless without original receipt. Who keeps a receipt for 2 years for a $40 can of deck stain? Either stand behind your product or don't.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not work on CEDAR at all This Behr stain does not penetrate into the wood like the product claims it should. It dries on top of the surface like a paint. After 10 months, the stain was peeling all over the place... and the application instructions (including prepping with #63) were followed exactly. Applying the Behr Premium Stain is like painting your deck except it does not apply evenly. It dries extremely fast and will show overlaps. There is no penetration AT ALL into a cedar deck... you are essentially applying paint that will peel after a couple seasons of weather. Horrible product - buyer beware!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Looks like paint and peels like it too I like consumer reports but they were way off with this one. It is now 4/2016 and I'm getting ready to again go through the very laborsome project of sanding, stripping, nuetralizing, and staining my deck. It is pressure treated and now nine years old. In 6/2016 I removed a peeling solid stain from another manufacturer. Lots of work to take to bare wood, but I was very excited to switch to a semi transparent. Well, this may say semi transparent but that is not what you get. It is solid like paint, and last year, less than two years old, it started peeling. Behr is sending me new stain as part of the warranty. That is good, but I would happily have paid 3 times the price for a true semi trans parents where I can see wood grain. That said, I'd pay even more not to have it peel. This is just a really terrible product. Do yourself a favor and use a semi transparent OIL BASED stain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Product We installed our fence about 16 years ago and it looks as good as it did the day that we installed it. We apply Behr Weather Proofing every 3-4 years. We had to replace one post that rotted above the cement holding it and one fence picket that we split replacing the post. Behr Weather Proofing Sealer is the cure for premature aging of the wooden fence. Everyone in our neighborhood questions us how we keep our fence looking so good year after year. We give Behr the credit for the great look of our fence. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
