Answer:
Hello Kel,
Great question. Normally to remove our stain we recommend using our Behr Premium Wood Stain & Finish Stripper No. 64. However, that would remove the paint underneath as well if those surfaces were previously painted. Another option would to lightly sand off the semi-transparent stain.
Best regards,
Kevin

Hello candy,
Great question. Yes, the color SC-140 Bright Tamra is available in our regular paints. You can just provide your local Home Depot paint associate with the color I.D (SC-140) and color name (Bright Tamra).
Best regards,
Kevin

Answer:
Hello Wong,
We appreciate your question. No, our wood stains like this one are only designed for exterior use. If needing a semi-transparent wood stain and not a solid color floor paint like our Porch & Patio Floor paint, then you might check with Home Depot for another brand's coating that could work for your project. Best wishes!

Hello Sandy,
Thank you for your interest in our products. If some parts of the fence are darker than others, then you might still be able to see the different shades once our Semi-Transparent stain is applied since are stain is designed to have transparency. I would suggest our Solid Color Weatherproofing All-In-One Wood Stain & Sealer. Each 5 gallon pail covers about 1250-1500 square feet for 1 coat. Read More

Rated 3.1 out of 5 by 413 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Used a lot of stain I realized after I purchased that this is semi-transparent stain which I think is where I went wrong. I bought this for a pallet project, and it used a ton of the stain. In the end I ended up "painting" it on and leaving it, which got me the color I wanted. It took about 9 coats before I "painted" it. I think with a few more coats I would have been happy with the color, but was worried with the sample size I wouldn't have enough. Still, the sample size is a great value for the price! September 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Shade I ended up using two coats for my pallet project. One coat worked well, you could still see the grain of the wood, but I wanted my project brighter so did two coats. Got the sample size and still have some left over. Its a great deal! September 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice color This was the exact shade I was looking for! The only problem I ran into is that pallet boards soak up a lot of stain. I ended up "painting" it on and leaving it that way which got the exact color I wanted. I realize now writing this review this is "semi-transparent" stain which is probably where I went wrong. Still got it to work for what I needed. (I used this color for the top of my project) September 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product Great product. Used this semi transparent stain on our deck railing. It last about 2-3 years in our North Idaho climate. Good coverage and stain stays suspended in carrier if you stir every 30-45 minutes. Stain in early morning or cool weather as stain dries quickly and results are more even when stain is allowed to dry slowly. Price seemed higher than I remembered from 3 years ago ($33/gal) but still a good value. August 9, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by garbage product. buying this will cost you 3 times as much in a year or two just to get it off I listened to the sales rep, then followed all of the instructions and had my deck completely prepped and ready to coat with what i thought was a premium product. What a waste of money and time. It is supposed to have a six year guarantee, it didn't even last a year before it started peeling. It seriously peels like 30 year old paint. Now i have to spend more money and time just to get it off. And the guarantee is worthless without original receipt. Who keeps a receipt for 2 years for a $40 can of deck stain? Either stand behind your product or don't. August 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great water repellent My deck is almost 30 years old! It is surprising that it has lasted this long. I had a few boards replaced several months ago, but knew if I wanted it to last any longer I would have to apply a good waterproofing product. I shopped at my local Home Depot, who has always been helpful and attentive to my needs (I am 86 years old). They helped me choose the best product and I was thrilled once I had the product applied to my deck. It will probably make my deck last for several more years! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Deck looks great Applied Behr Semi-Transparent stain to my deck in Sept 2015. I had cleaned the deck thoroughly with Behr No. 63 All-in-One Wood Cleaner over the prior two weekends. The stain was easy to apply. We used a pad applicator and then back brushed with a paint brush. The first coat dried enough to walk across after a couple of hours, and then we applied a second coat to the horizontal surfaces. The new stain caused the deck to feel tacky or sticky after it had dried, but it was not a significant issue and was less each day until it went away after a good rain. The color closely matched my expectations and looked very uniform. Before and after pictures attached. May 15, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by My grandfather built a cabin in New Mexico 50 years ago out of red wood. Over time it had become weathered and no matter what we did in a month it was a milky white again. Finally we tried Semi-Transparent Weather Proofing wood stain in Redwood. We first tried it in May and it still looked great when we closed the cabin in October. We will see how it makes the harsh New Mexico winter, but it has already out performed anything that we had done before. October 27, 2016
