This is a great product if your concrete floors are not smooth enough for a true acid stain. I used this color along with blue bolder to create a good looking floor. We had to prep the floor after pulling up the carpet and all the glue spots were still there with the Home Depot Floor Maintainer and concrete prep tool (watch video prior to using).

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Duanes Not a stain and does not stick
This product is horrible. It is not a stain it is a paint that does not stick. I stained my concrete counters and this was a poor choice to use for the stain. Color is all over the place and does not act or perform like a stain should thus this is a paint. The finish will pull right off if you put tape on the surface and pull the tape, stain will not do this because stain penetrates and paint lies on the surface like this product does. Also the color is not uniform even with continuous stirring its more of a bluish color than grey. I did put a oil based urethane on top which prevents the paint from pulling off. I would not use this again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Emily Worked great on brick!
We have brick floors in our basement bedrooms. They have gotten worn over the years and needed a clean up. We initially tried powerwashing, but that left lines on the brick. I bought this stain and put on a thin coat with a roller (after edging the room with a paintbrush). The results were fantastic! It soaked into the brick and left a matte finish (before and after picture is glossy as the stain had not yet dried). The brick floor looks brand new! I will be applying the low-lustre sealant tonight.

I applied Behr's semi-transparent stain to a new patio (cured over 60 days) I had poured 12 yrs ago. I followed all the prep as recommended by Behr. I can't imagine a better/cleaner surface to apply this product to. Again, I followed everything Behr recommended for prep and maintenance as I wanted this to last. Well it didn't last one year. Every year I have to touch it up and put a new sealer/clear top coat on it as the chipping/peeling is terrible. It's like Behr designed this product so you'll constantly have to buy more stain and sealer... Absolutly hate this product.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by TJ NOT a stain, NOT semi-transparent. Worst product, EVER
We used this on a large concrete patio. Followed all directions. First of all, it is a PAINT, not a stain. There is nothing semi-transparent about it. It sits on top, does not permeate the concrete. And it starts flaking off almost immedately. We had it removed by pressure washer. Cost us over $1500 to stain and seal, and another $1500 to strip it off. What a hassle. Worst product ever from Home Depot. Behr should recall this. Instead, Behr censors the negative reviews on their own website. DO NOT USE BEHR.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Ron This is the worst product. It is NOT a stain.
This is the worst product. It is NOT a stain. It is like a paint that peals up very easily. Covers nice but does not stain at all. When it peals up, even with just your fingernail, it leaves the concrete looking exactly as it did before it was applied. I want Home Depot to pay for the labor to remove this now. Terrible terrible product.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MomManCave Great Results!
We followed another reviewers directions (BellaBee from 2013) and had a fantastic result! We tore the carpet up in our basement and rented a diamond blade sander to get all the adhesive off and then followed the same steps as BellaBee. It is KEY to do the proper steps for floor prep for this to turn out! After degreasin/cleaning then the etching/cleaning process I used a cotton tshirt to blot the first stain on which was Loden semi transparent. It dried quickly. Next color was Warm Shale. I grabbed another clean cotton cloth and patted it on at randaom. The last color was Chickory and I used it sparingly. We are thrilled with the floor. I ended up highlighting the cracks in our floor for interest. I let the stain in for 30 seconds and then dried brushed it. Fantastic! I also covered in two coats of Low Luster shine. We have received so many compliments on the high end look.
