Answer:
Hello nick,
Thanks for your question. I wouldn't be able to recommend the application of our sealers over Granite Grip, as we don't have testing to back up this sort of application. Also, I should mention that Granite Grip is not designed to be applied to surfaces that are driven on such as carports. Best wishes for your project!

Answer:
Hello Ngs,
Great question. As long as the bricks don’t get to hot to touch when the fireplace is on, then you can use our Wet Look Sealer. However, if they are too hot to touch when the fireplace is on, then we would not recommend using our sealer.
Best wishes,
Kevin

1-gal. Wet Look Sealer is rated 2.5 out of 5 by 145.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wet look turned milky on second coat I loved the way my patio looked after the first coat, but per the label I waited the 4 hours, and then applied the second coat, on a nice 75degree day, and the patio turned milky white... I am so disappointed... I spent alot of money to make sure I followed all of the instructions perfectly, to have it turn milky white on the final step! and now it sounds like I will have to spend more money to fix it. Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stamped Concrete is now milky white Rolled this on stamped concrete that had been cured 30 days and cleaned. Weather was 72 degrees. Almost immediately the product turned milky white in many areas, over 70%, and stayed that way through the drying process. Now I will not apply a second coat, that will make it harder to remove. Terrible product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really forgiving product that creates a nice gloss look I removed the gray paint off my basement floor. I kind of like the way that the 100 year old cement floor looked. It had all these cool cracks, this warm brown patina, and the iron in the cement had crystalized in little red veins. When I cleaned off the floor with Mr. Clean and water, AND LET IT DRY COMPLETELY, I applied this product to it, and in the end it really made the floor colors pop. It looked like a polished concrete floor. We went ahead and decorated the basement into a movie den and didn't even bother to put rugs down the floor looked so cool. Basically, just slop this stuff on. Doesn't have to be perfect. It will all smooth out After a few hours, it will be dry enough where you can walk on it with socks and soak up any spots where it pools. For example, our concrete floor had some divots in it where the sealer pooled. I'd wait 12 hours before putting on the second application, and then 24 hours before you walk on it normally. We've had our basement floor sealed for about 3 months. We had to rearrange heavy furniture (i.e. slide it) and the floor didn't scratch at all, like I feared it would. One thing to note, about a week after I coated the floor, I noticed something about the concrete I didn't like. I removed the sealer with citristrip, (about a square foot) made the repair to the floor and recoated the floor with the Behr sealer. I was afraid it wouldn't blend with the previous coats, but it blended fine. It's a very forgiving product. The only thing I wonder about is if it blocks out the moisture extracting nature of the cement floor, which is key in a basement. But other than that, you can coat a huge area with this and the value for the money is great. Really makes a cement floor pop. Ours almost looks like polished granite. So cool. Also, the surface of the floor is great. It repels dirt and dust like crazy. So easy to keep our once filthy, formerly carpeted basement clean now. I don't worry about water in our basement anymore. BTW: Don't ever carpet your basement unless you have a serious dehumidifier. Learn to live with cement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I have about 1000 ft.² of pavers that were professionally installed. When they completed the job they sealed it with a water-based sealer. I continued to use the same sealer at $50 a gallon. This year the company was out of the sealer so I thought I would take a chance on this Behr Wetlook sealer. I don't like to use solvent-based products and tend to go with water-based. I power-washed my pavers and reapplied gator sand and sealed the sand with water. After a few days letting everything cure, I moved onto the sealer. After reading the directions closely and the reviews on this site, I chose to apply the sealer with a paint roller. I have used different types of sprayers in the past and find it easier just to use a roller. Making sure that the ambient temperature and the temperature of the pavers was somewhere between 70 and 80°, I applied this sealer. Making sure not to leave any puddles on the top of the pavers I applied the first coat and let it dry. I was very impressed with the first coat, not being too shiny but bringing out the colors of my pavers. I waited two days and then applied a second coat in the same temperature conditions. My pavers look better now than they ever have. I am extremely pleased with this product and will continue to use it yearly. I personally feel that the key factor involved with this product to get a positive result is the application when the temperature is just right and try not to do it with the sun casting onto the pavers. A nice slow dry time seems to render the best results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Indoor Saltillo Tile I have saltillo tile through most of my house. It is a porous material that has proven to be high maintenance over the 20+ years I have had it.. I have used numerous other products with little satisfaction or long lasting results. I tried this over 18 months ago and this has maintained a great look and has been very low maintenance and long lasting. I am very happy with it and I would highly recommend it for indoor use on saltillo. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best wet look sealer Amazing product. I started this last night and was terrified when I came on here to look up a question with all the negative reviews. My floors look perfect now. I scrubbed my black slate then applied 1 coat with a cheap paint brush (new of course). This was applied to my kitchen and entry way floors total time with scrubbing 3 hours Pics enclosed. No horrible smells in my house either. Will tell everyone about this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great ! I do not understand all the negative comments - I've used a hand pump garden sprayer to put this product on a stamped concrete patio and a large aggregate driveway for years, with excellent results. The only milky streaks I've encountered were a result of puddles in cracks or low spots, which are easily seen during application and spread out with a brush or sponge. You've GOT to follow the directions regarding applying it to a completely dry surface and mist it on with light coats. I suspect most of the commenters' problems have been a result of either too much moisture or coating it on too heavily. I've gotten great results in the Summer by power washing, waiting a couple days for the concrete to bake in the sun, then applying the sealer in the evening when it's cooler and no direct sun. Yes, you need 2-3 days with no rain, but it does work and it looks great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Product It makes the difference when applied to surface. Make sure to apply it when the surface is cool otherwise you will have a milky looking concrete. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
