Answer:
Hello art,
Thanks for your question. No, we would recommend this product only for exterior wood surfaces like decks, siding, or fences. For an interior coating for wood paneling, you might consider our DeckOver stain or one of our interior latex wall paints like the Ultra Interior paint or Marquee Interior paint.
Best wishes for your project!

Answer:
Hi Cg,
Great question! Yes, the stain can be applied using a 3/8” nap roller, nylon/polyester brush, pad applicator or airless sprayer. We recommend using a .015 - .019” tip. If thinning is required, thin with water at a rate of no more than 1/2 pint per gallon. Always back-brush and apply product end to end or to board lengths to prevent lap marks.
Thanks for choosing Behr products.

Answer:
Hello Ralph,
Thanks for your question. Yes, this can be used on a split fence fence. If you choose a pastel or white color and the wood is a bleeding type like cedar, redwood, or Cypress, then we'd recommend priming with a product like our No. 436 Multi-Surface Primer & Sealer. Please also follow all label instructions for the prep and application steps.
Best wishes for your project!

I have a customer that used this product on an interior floor.

The customer used this product as a base color on an oak floor and allowed to dry. Then used a contrasting color for a glaze then polyurethane over that once dried. Does this product since its a all in one stain/ sealer, allow for a top coat, especially an oil born?
I have the color code and need to match.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Used on a chicken coop and it looks amazing! We built a custom chicken coop out of some old, used plywood and used this product in Barn Red and it looks amazing. The plywood had nail holes, spray paint and was just well used. This product covered everything and our coop looks wonderful. It's been a year and it hasn't chipped or peeled and the red still looks great! We are building a second coop 3x the size of our first one and plan to use this same stain. We are very happy with it and would recommend it. May 30, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible if going for white stain I originally gave this four stars (RVA81). After a few weeks the quality became apparent. Unless you're staining you wood a dark earth tone (brown, red, cedar, etc...) don't bother with this stain. I painted my deck frame white and tannin bleed occurred immediately. A second/third coat seemed to lock it in and i thought everything was fine, but after several rain storms bad things happened. I built this deck a year earlier, so the wood had plenty of time to dry out and season. Where the water pooled on the top deck railings, the tannins eventually soaked through. Even an old pen mark that i couldn't see when the wood was bare came through. Very disappointed. I will attempt to get my money back. Additionally, all the positive reviews seem to be right after application. Negative reviews seems to be one or two years down the road. Im so mad my neighbor talked me into staining, not painting. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 5 Star So Far - 1 Year and 1 Winter In... So my 25 year old deck has been a headache from day one when we moved in 5 years ago... It is a PT deck that was painted (why?) and peeling. So we scraped and repainted with the Behr deck paint, but after one Boston winter, it was peeling anew. And after two it was good to go. So we spent an ungodly amount of time stripping the deck of all the old paint and tried a deck stain from Sherwin Williams or whatever and that had the lasting strength of the paint we used the first time... Clearly failing after the first winter and looked crud after the second. Now the winter of 2014 in Boston was insane, but still, it was just two years on bare wood. So we went with the consumer reports best pick - or so we thought. Not until later did I find that DR loved the cheap Behr product. But what was done was done. And I was nervous about all the 1 and 2 star reviews of this product after the fact. But 1 solid (but mild Boston winter) in, the deck looks 100%. I am pleased as punch. I even had to do some rust reforming on some old nails and putty fills in other areas. No issues with the stain there either. To be honest, even if I had to restain those those every year, I would be OK, but given a 100% success rate after the first winter on such an old deck, I love it. Now I dont know why the other decks fail with this stain, but if I had to guess, a poor prep can explain a lot. Even with this one, I spend a good month prepping the 1,000 sq foot deck, In the end who knows... I doubt and dont count on a 10 year life. But even 5 would be amazing. I will update as needed... Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst stain I have ever used Used this stain 2 years age on a well dried wood peck and now 2 years 1/2 has come off. Going to get some good stain somewhere else. October 30, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Job on Pergola and Deck I have used this product several times and have found it to be easy to use and prov ides good coverage. I use the Pinto White on my Pergola and Cedar on my Deck. Solid colors do a wonderful job of covering wood surfaces and last for quite a while. Recommend using this product. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Didn't make it through one winter Bought this product, as well as the pre-washes. Followed all of the instructions for washing, drying, and coats to a T. After our first winter, spring comes around and now everything is peeling. It also warped many of our boards. I would not recommend. 10 years must really be a stretch, as we didn't even make it 10 months... [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] June 22, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Premium Solid Deck Stain Purchased 5 gallons of California Rustic Premium Deck Stain and applied 2 weeks ago. Application is very easy. Look is great and if history is a guide I should get 10+ years before having to re-stain. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] June 22, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Still going strong Behr Premium was applied to a 25 year old deck. This was the first solid color stain applied. Previous semi trans stains were applied every three to five years. The Behr Premium has been on for four years and still is solid, not pealing and washes clean with a hose. Very pleased with this product. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] June 22, 2016
