I was very disappointed that the product didn't have a spout as my previous one did. Check it before you leave the store!

I have had this coating on my deck and house siding for 4 years. Its color has remained constant. It has kept my treated lumber deck from developing surface cracks. By the way the lumber on my deck is over 30 years old. I have not always used this product during that time frame but of the 3 others I have used it is the best and by far the easiest to clean up. One note of caution, I have sprayed it, rolled it on, and brushed it on, Two coats, brushed on is the only way to go if you want it to last. Power washing before coating helps with the life expectancy. Good Luck.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Route66rider I have about 650 linear feet of cedar fencing six feet tall that is about 7 years old. It had never been stained of sealed. I initially gave it a complete powerwash, followed by a thee day drying out period. Going by the estimated coverage on the can, I initially purchased 10 gallons which was a great under estimate. Before I was finished I purchased another 10 gallons, followed with another 4 gallons purchased for a second coat application as may be needed. The total purchased was 24 gallons total. I had to visit three stores in my area to secure this amount. My method of application was the Graco X5 sprayer which I highly recommend.
If I had one complaint, it would be why Behr does not make this available in 5 gallon buckets instead of only in the one gallon size.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by brandlic I love BEHR stains and paint.
This was easy to mix and apply. Deck looks great. We will see if it looks this good after 4 years (warranty period). I was able to use a deck sprayer to apply on the rails. And I used the Renuvo deck staining tool for the floor. Worked out great. It stained a lot darker than the picture on the can showed. but still looks good.

When we moved into our house about 2 years ago there was a ceder fence installed. It was very gray. This year I power washed it. Was shocked how clean it came out. After this to protect it I used this product.
I am not sure if if it was because our fence was cedar or because of the age but I went though 24gal of this Bahr to cover about 40 panels front and back. Each panel is 4'x6'. Went over 2 times what it states it would cover.
To apply it I used a Wagner PaintReady System High-Volume Low Pressure. It worked great. If doing a fence I would recommend a sprayer with this product. Read some people has issues using a sprayer. Not sure if this only works with some sprayers so that is the reason I listed what I used.
Very much recommend you have these shaken up at at store before using. I bought a small sample can and found out that there is heavy separation at the bottom. Hard to stir in. Trying that with a 5gl bucket would have been a lot worse.
I love the face lift this gave to our backyard. This stuff is so easy for cleaning!

This Behr Latex Cedar Nauraltone weatherproofing stain was fantastic.I used it on my new back fence. It covered very easily and was easy to clean up afterward. A lot better than using oil based stain!! The color is magnificent as you can tell by the attached picture. Plan on doing the old side fences with this product next year.

Cordovan Brown tint, transparent stain. Easy to brush on, but very "watery" as it runs and drips very easily. After brushing to even out, it dried with a consistent color. Does not cover a great amount of fence, two gallons used on 40 linear feet x 6 foot high cedar fence and gate (both sides) ..
