Used this stuff on some projects over two weeks ago and it is still sticky. Wouldn't recommend using it.

If you value your personal time and your money do not use this product. I had a brand new deck that i bought this stain for. I let the deck season for one year. I used Behrs wood cleaner before i put the stain down to make sure i had a clean surface for a nice bond. I'm so glad that i only painted the floor of the deck and not the entire thing. The deck looked great when i got done. However, within three months all of the stain started to pop up and began to look terrible. I just finised pressure washing, stripping and sanding the entire deck. I thought i was using a quality product that would save me time. So far i've spent about 7 hours to get the deck back to the way it was so i can use a real product. I've always been happy with behr paints inside but this event will probably keep me from buying any of their products again. It's terrible that products like this are out there. Don't waste your time or money. Use oil based products for the deck there is no way around it.

Without a doubt the worst stain or paint product I've ever used. I applied to a new deck that was allowed to season two months. Used the Behr cleaner prep, and allowed to dry thoroughly. Applied two coats of stain.
The finish was very blotched with light areas and dark areas. Tried to add a third coat to the light areas hoping I would get a more uniform color. Big mistake. The third coat almost looks like a different color. My beautiful new deck now looks terrible. I WILL NEVER BUY A BEHR PRODUCT AGAIN.

Spoke with Behr rep in home Depot and applied as instructed. Began pealing by following summer. Peals off in random strips and chunks. What a mess. 1500 SF of deck has to be stripped and totally redone.

This product is a joke. I too bought a semi transparent stain hoping to see a little wood grain. Even went with a really light beige color. It looks just like paint on first stroke. No wood grain can be seen. My deck was dry, no rain in weeks, wood cured and cleaned and the stain started to peel and flake in no time. It has been exactly 2 years now and it's so bad I have to remove it and sand and prep and clean it and go with another brand. The initial peeling took place after just 9 months though. DO NOT BUY! I even hired a professional company to apply it. Not user error. Had purchased 15 gallons of this garbage and now it's costing me more money.

I recently begin re-staining the exterior of my home (cedar tongue and groove) and wanted to stay as close to the original color as possible. Although the siding had been weathered over many years, to include plenty of warped boards (which I sealed using OSI wood sealer), the application process and final results are better than expected (I used the tint 3077 application). One negative with this product is that it's a little messy if your going to use over concrete, but it easily washes off if removed in a timely manner.
Also, depending on the application, this product dried within 1/2 an hour.
Great product; thanks Behr!

Did my deck with Behrs semi-transparent premicm stain last spring. I cleaned the deck as specified and applied with a pad The Behr sales rep was at Home Depot and he actually put what I need in the cart. This spring I noticed peeling at numerous spots. What makes it worse was that it was recommended by consumer Reports.

Our house was built 28 years ago. We have used many different brands of waterproofing, stain, wood preserver. They only lasted 1 year but we made it last 2. Wood would turn black in areas and bleach out from sun in other's. We always power washed first, which is an awful job to begin with. Just happen to stumble on to Behr Stain and Waterproffing. It has been on 6 years now and going strong! Wish we knew about this product many moons ago. We put it on by brush....so it would soak in better..worth it!
