Customer Questions & Answers

how long do you have to wait to walk on treated pavers?

Asked by: wayne
I have tenants and they walked on it about 90 minutes after it was applied - nothing happened to it. No footsteps imprinted, no peeling, nothing. Seems to dry very quickly if you follow manufacture's recommendation for temperature when applying.

Am I better to use Behr's Wet-look Sealer or Behr Premium Protector and Water Proofer

for my walkway and driveway?
Asked by: Anonymous
I have used both. Wet look is great but not worth the extra money. Don't get me wrong, as I said, I like both. Don't be afraid to use plenty. The white milk dries clear and fast. Awesome stuff.

Can we use Behr wet look sealer on black rock and polymer sand walkway?

Asked by: Anonymous
Heck yes! Use it on darn near anything! Ive even poured it on sand and it worked better than poly sand!

I read somewhere on their site that this sealer is water "resistant" but not water "proof". Pavers have to breath.

5-gal. Wet Look Sealer is rated 2.7 out of 5 by 43.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wet look turned milky on second coat I loved the way my patio looked after the first coat, but per the label I waited the 4 hours, and then applied the second coat, on a nice 75degree day, and the patio turned milky white... I am so disappointed... I spent alot of money to make sure I followed all of the instructions perfectly, to have it turn milky white on the final step! and now it sounds like I will have to spend more money to fix it. Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stamped Concrete is now milky white Rolled this on stamped concrete that had been cured 30 days and cleaned. Weather was 72 degrees. Almost immediately the product turned milky white in many areas, over 70%, and stayed that way through the drying process. Now I will not apply a second coat, that will make it harder to remove. Terrible product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Product It makes the difference when applied to surface. Make sure to apply it when the surface is cool otherwise you will have a milky looking concrete. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I bought eight gal. of this even though I read some of the reviews , pavers need to be dry - - and also the ground under the pavers needs to be as dry as possible . I put two coats down and it looks pretty good , with a good shine . I live in florida so I know not to put this down when it is real hot and humid . All I can say is time will tell how it holds up , especially on the driveway - - I will most likely put a third coat on the driveway due to the use it gets.

I was very skeptical about all the reviews which talked about "milky" streaks. However, my installer recommended this and said he's never had a bad experience with it. I took a chance and am very happy with the results. I sprayed the first coat and rolled the second. The only reason for the 4 vs 5 stars is that the names implies "glossy" finish. Behr's website also shows very shinny outcomes. Mine looked very shiny while still wet, but as it dried, it got more satiny than glossy. If it lasts, I'll be happy just the same. It was easy to apply, easy to clean and has withstood rain in only two weeks of application. So far I am happy with this product and would recommended it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Milky white patches After sanding, cleaning, etching and cleaning some more, I applied a beautiful coat of two color stains to about 1600 sf of concrete floors- looked phenomenal! After waiting two days to insure the floors were dry, I applied BEHR Wet Look Sealer. 24hrs later I have patchy milky white areas. The 1st technician told me to give it another 24 hrs; the 2nd technician told me to apply a 2nd coat as a test. No changes, milky white patches are still showing. Behr was helpful in reimbursing me for my stain and sealer, but I am now sanding/stripping and starting over.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dissapointed I apply a wet sealer on my pool stamped concrete deck every other year. Last year I chose to use the Behr Wet Look Sealer and now am spending countless hours and money trying to remove it. It was not very good as the entire terra cotta colored surface looks completely white. I tried to pressure wash off the coating last night and made it look even worse. My back yard has never looked so bad.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Had to remove it all! Don't Buy! I'm a professional flooring installer. The normal sealer I use was out of stock at my go-to place. Used this product thinking it would be satisfactory. Rolled on a newly laid brick interior floor. $25,000 job ruined. Prodict never cured and left a milky white residue across the entire house. I'm filing a claim with BEHR. Don't buy.
