We chose the terra cotta color for this paint and I used an airless paint sprayer to do my entire backyard wood fence. One coat coverage and the look is fantastic! Just like I have a new fence. The paint penetrated the wood quickly, dried quickly, and still let the wood grain come through.

I love this stain. It goes on somewhat thick to give great protection, and I can almost feel it seeping into my old wood. I did the balusters a couple of years ago, and they still look freshly painted. This year I did the floor, and given the age of the wood, it really made such a huge difference.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Andre This 10 year paint lasts 1 year maybe 2 before it needs to be redone on deck floor.
This 10 year paint lasts 1 year maybe 2 before it needs to be redone on deck floor. I had this paint professionally applied on a deck that gets average use in the summertime. 4 parties a year.. Memorial day, Labor day and 2 or so cocktail parties a summer. The deck looked good the first year summer (the paint was applied that spring). Over that winter the deck floor paint started chipping and pealing.
By the time the second summer started the deck needed to be redone. However I put off redoing the deck that year. Now its the spring of 3rd year and the deck is missing at lease 20% of the over 625sq feet of floor and horizontal railing coverage due to chipping and pealing. Just know if you use this paint you will have to redo your deck every other year. If you want the deck to look good every year you will have to redo the deck every year.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Shorty Horrible experience
We purchased this paint/stain at the recommendation of the store associate. We were going to purchase a sealer and paint for new redwood fence panels. We were told that this product is what we needed rather than paint and that it would far outlast paint. We put several coats on with a sprayer and then 2 more with a roller and it still is not up to our satisfaction. Is not covered evenly, soaking into the fence. We had 12 6 x 8 panels and a 5 gal bucket should have done the job. After the first we got another, and then another. We now have almost half as much money in paint/stain as we did for the fence itself and it still needs to be redone. It will have to be done at another time as this was done in an area of our yard that we are holding our wedding in 3 mos and we have no more money or time available to do more to it at this time and we are totally unsatisfied with this product.

I used this product on old posts of our deck to match the semi-transparent stain on our newly refinished portion. Easy application and the color was very uniform after the second coat (even on varied quality of previous color underneath). I'm hopefully it will last the advertised 10 years.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by CitKat NOT EVEN CLOSE TO CEDAR - BRIGHT ORANGE, VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED
Worst color ever, turned out bright pumpkin orange. We just built a brand new deck with a roof. My husband wanted to stain the plywood and roof joist before installing. I was not around and had told him I wanted the cedarwood transparent stain for the deck that we used prior and had a nice natural wood tone.. Well since it was plywood he decided to do a solid stain and install it to surprise me.. Well Cedarwood solid turned out to be bright pumpkin orange. It is the ugliest thing in the world. Now my camper deck roof sticks out like a sore thumb. A big Bright Orange roof. I don't know how in the world to fix this. I saw the color sample in the store and it looked much more muted and a lot less orange and more tan in it.. This I am sure now was due to the lighting and the fact it was next to the solid chocolate stain. Beware of solid stain in Cedarwood tones. You might just end up with a big orange mess.
