Answer:
Hello Brian,
We actually don’t have a white color for our DeckOver. However, Rust-Oleum has a white color called “Restore White” that can be tinted into our DeckOver.
Best wishes
Kevin

Just removed a horribly constructed older deck and replaced it with a "smaller" new deck. My question is can this paint be used on "New" deck boards (provided they are dried out) without any issues? From what I've read the paint is mainly for older worn decks. I would rather paint the deck rather than stain it.

Answer:
Hi Tony,
Thanks for your question. Although Deckover is a thick coating designed to fill in cracks in older wood, it can also be used to coat new wood with great results. Hope this helps, and good luck on your project! Best, Jeanette P.

Answer:
Hi Ben,
Slate (SC-102) is a very dark gray shade. It's close to black, but not quite. Good luck with your future projects! - Sara

Thanks for your question. Whether doing railings, spindles, or the horizontal deck area, we'd recommend applying two coats of this product. Please also be sure to follow all label instructions for best results. Well wishes for your project!

Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 902 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by deck over paint got 4 gallons of the deckover. my deck is about 10 yrs old and is showing splitting on the boards. not wide but wide enough to see. did a good power wash and it rained that nite to give an extra rinse. let dry for 3 days and started. i found out right away this paint is VERY thick and was not sure if it would get into the cracks or just cover over.. now i want to say what i did is not on the label so most likely not advised. but i thinned it down with water (good for clean up so good for delusion. i didn't measure the water went by feel. but i'd say 1/4 water to a gallon of paint. like a little thicker then pancake syrup. this way i was able to squeeze it into the cracks easily. 2 coats and it's like 150 grit sand paper vs 50 grip out of the can. just finished today so time will tell if i just blew $140 bucks or not. but i like how it looks and went down. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Thing To Revive Old Tired Decks This is a great product to turn old, tired decks back to "Like New" condition. Easy to use and very attractive on old decks. May 31, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Satisfied Product was applied per label instructions. Deck is fifteen years old and previously treated with stains that did not last more than three years due to full sun of the Southeast. Product is now in the third season and shows no signs of wear on deck, stairs or railings. Most cracks and gouges were filled and remain that way, much to my surprise. Application rate was accurate, for me that was four gallons each time for two times. Drying time was less than four hours for first application. Slate gray dried slightly lighter and was planned for and was satisfactory. Contacted Behr with support questions and got information quickly and easy to understand. If I have another need I would use it again. June 17, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Deck over and over and over Well ladies and gentlemen, here is your honest opion of this product. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OF MONEY!!! I followed the direction on the can, using there cleaner and properly preparing the deck as the direction said before applying the product. The deck I applied it to is not a real high traffic area but I would say 35% of my deck is pealing or bubbling up. I will have to some how remove the behr deck over and attempt to refinish my deck again. I would never recommend this product to anyone. Please dont waste your time or money. It's a quick fix that looked great at first but barley lasted 8months. Garbage! March 14, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by This stuff is c..". pealed up after one year Product was applied one year ago and it is pealing up this year making deck look like .... July 13, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Buy something else! I painted my deck last spring, sanded it down first and everything, went on easy and looked fantastic!! Almost all of it peeled off though the winter, very disappointing. Wish I had spoken to my family first, as they had the same experience with this same paint July 29, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worked For Me Tired of scraping and repainting front porch and steps every summer. Sanded down to bare wood and painted with Deck Over in Slate Gray. This is year two and still no sign of chipping, bubbling, or coming loose. So happy don't need to repaint porch again. Also used it on back steps and handrail. Gets lots of sun but still no problems. Hoping it will last many more years. July 3, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by won't last a full year Incredibly expensive, doesn't hold up to high sun and winter weather. Just spent the day power washing the loose stuff off. What hasn't already peeled off comes off in big chunks with little effort. I might just rake up all the pieces blown off the deck and send it back to BEHR. June 15, 2016
