I used DeckOver in Flat Top to paint my back concrete porch and front entry way. Both surfaces were different but the process to apply the paint was the same. The back porch was new concrete so it was porous. I applied DeckOver with a brush (around the edges) and roller. The paint is very thick so it's best to paint on a cool day (under 90). Applying DeckOver on the new concrete was difficult but had nothing to do with the paint (combination of roller & surface). Applying the second coat went much smoother since the first coat laid down a thick layer on the concrete. The finish feels smooth on our feet and has a grip to it. The entry way is concrete also but was painted a couple of years ago. Adding DeckOver to that surface was like painting a wall. Very easy. We are planning to paint our carport, also. DeckOver is an amazing product.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by John covers good
I painted a deck that is 13 years old and had never been painted or stained, after I washed it with HDX deck cleaner I went to work. This paint covers good even on old wood looks great it does take some effort where it is so thick but the coverage makes it worth while. I posted pictures of after the deck was washed and then after it was painted, this is done over a 2 week period.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Maddiegirl Love the color
I was a little disappointed with the product and wanted to share something that's not really advertised...you have to use primer, first. Had I realized that I wouldn't have bothered and had actually gotten two different colors....so let me continue. The color was great and a perfect match (Flat top). The smell was pretty strong so make sure you have ventilation. A lot of other reviews comment on the consistancy, "pudding like"...it is a bit thick but was still easy to work with. You may want to be careful when applying because the product rapidly dries so if you dribble, etc...you'll need to Immediately clean it up and even then, may have a tough go at it. Even though I was bummed about having to prime, first...the outcome was really good and my project looks great. The only reason I'm not recommending the product is because of the failure to let you know you have to use primer, which lengthens the time of the overall project. Also, be prepared to toss your brush/roller in the trash after use, you won't be able to reuse them....product is a bear to clean, in regards to "clean-up".

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by signofthetimes DO NOT BUY THIS!
My father purchased this product in late Summer 2014. He followed the instructions to a T, purchasing and using a deck cleaner, rinsing the wood after cleaning, waiting the 3 days for it to dry like the instructions said, and applying the product under the right temperature. Here it is less than a year later, and the Deck Over has chipped and peeled off. The steps that he painted are a mess. This is a worthless product. Do not waste your money.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Vinnie942 DO NOT BUY BEHR DECK OVER!
Used Behr Deck Over in the spring of 2013 and prepared the deck according to Behr's instructions. I was initially very pleased with the results, the deck looked like a brand new synthetic deck. Two years later the deck looks worse then it did before. The rails still look great, but the deck itself is peeling in huge strips. I will never waste my money on another Behr product again.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed Waste of time and money
Bought this paint on high recommendation of salesperson that it would make old wood look brand new. Sanded the old deck, replaced 8 boards with brand new in August last year, and painted the entire deck as per instructions. Looked amazing, until now. April and many winter storms later, the paint looks great still, on the new boards, but is completely peeling off on the old, sanded wood. What an expensive waste of time and money. Cheap house paint would have held onto the new wood.

Resurfaced the entire deck in late summer of 2014. Nice and dry, three coats.
Once the snow melted on the deck in March, every horizontal walking surface was already flaking off. When I took a low pressure hose to the deck to get the dirt off, the deckover came off with it. This stuff looks nice at first glance, but it didn't last 6 months. I'll never use it again, it's a waste of money. Regular house paint is superior to this stuff.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pragmatic Best product for wood deck
I disagree with most of the negative reviews on this product.
I live in Georgia, My 11 year old wood deck is exposed to the sun with hardly any shade. It gets allot of extreme weather. Hot, humid, wet, cold, freezing rain, snow etc. Every Previous products only last two summers before it needs to be treated again. Deckover is on its third summer and still looks great. I expect it to last another two years.
Some users experienced peeling but I have not. A good paint job is only as good as the preparation.
The surface must be clean and dry for a good bond. Peeling means poor bond.
I first treated my deck with a product called JoMax then thoroughly power washed with water. Then let dry for 24 hours before application.
I did not use a roller I brushed on the product. A roller applies the product too thin in my opinion. I also used two coats and it turned out fabulous.
We use allot of potted plants and the product also resists stains.
A few word of warning however, don't apply in hot sun. It dries fast and your brush will load up. I used a large brush and had to clean it several times.
