Hi Ben,
Slate (SC-102) is a very dark gray shade. It's close to black, but not quite. Good luck with your future projects! - Sara

Answer:
Hello Brian,
We actually don’t have a white color for our DeckOver. However, Rust-Oleum has a white color called “Restore White” that can be tinted into our DeckOver.
Best wishes
Kevin

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 902 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible. So disappointed, hours of cleaning, hours of painting and it didn't last a whole year. Spring of 2015, I scrubbed my deck to remove all dead wood, splitters, grime and grunge. It's a second floor deck, with no access to the ground, only entry from our bedrooms. Followed Behr's directions to a T. As you can see from the photo, I might as well have used regular paint. Do not bother with this product, it's not worth the time and energy, you will put in, let alone the cost. The only area that it didn't peel in random spots was in the shade, near the house. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by So far so good.... So far so good, it was a lot of work putting on two coats on a 20x15 foot deck.. I also used it on my front door entrance threshold since there is a need to fill in a crack there as well and it said it works on cement so.... I picked the slate to match the existing slate hearth on the fireplace so I think that the house is looking more unified. It would really take a couple of years of use to know how my choice works but it sure looks a lot nicer now. April 5, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not a good Product Unlike other reviewers I have only had my Deckover on for a few days, so it hasn't started to peel or crack. My issue with the product is that it scratches extremely easy. After following all the instructions and letting the product dry for 48 hours before letting anyone or anything back on the deck, I put my dog out. Every place he walked scratched the surface. Pulling out my deck chairs to sit down leaves permanent marks on the surface of the deck. My barn read deck looks like a chalkboard from normal everyday use. The product is also hard to apply. It is thick and difficult to get good coverage. Many spots needed 3 coats to fully cover. It took almost a full gallon more than it should have based on the sq. footage of my deck. If using a roller, apply very slowly or thick spatter will fly all over. July 29, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Deckover Horrid waste of money one year later peeled off deck railing peeled off steps stayed on deck so far 2 coats after sanding waste of time money August 9, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Peeled and Cracked in 8 months. STAY AWAY !!! I Spent 50 hours prepping; Powerwashing, cleaning with specialized Behr cleaner and meticulously coating with Deckover.. Product Bubbled and cracked in 8 months. Junk. July 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best thing we ever bought! Our deck was old but did not want the cost of replacing it. My husband and I followed the directions exactly as directed because we had saw where other people's paint had peeled. After a harsh summer and even harder winter it still looks fantastic! No peeling just great looking! July 21, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do not buy this product!!!! Do some research. Most of the good reviews were from people who just put this on. Now that this product is two years old everyone is watching their deck start to peel and chip. July 20, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Save your receipt for the warranty claim This product looked great when first applied July 2015 and did the trick preventing splinters from the old deck wood, but after a pretty mild Ontario winter, it's peeling off in random places. It's become brittle and separated from the wood. I contacted Behr and they are providing me with replacements, so I've been trying to get the deck ready to re-do it. Sanding doesn't really get it off, only a scraper or a hose. It's like peeling off sunburned skin. And now my gardens are full of bits of it. Such a huge job, and I guess I'll have to do it again next year. I'm amazed they still sell this product. Save your receipt for the warranty claim. May 4, 2016
