Answer:
Hello Bmw9,
Thanks for your support of Behr products. For light dirt stains, we recommend using soap and water. If it's more difficult to clean, then there's the option to use a concrete cleaner/degreaser (even for wood surfaces). Be sure to test out the cleaner first to ensure it's working. Well wishes for your project!

Hi MLB2007,
Thanks for your question! It would be okay to coat over a wood filler, as long as it's a paintable filler. Good luck on your project! Best, Jeanette P.

Answer:
Hi MLB2007,
Thanks for writing in, and great question! DeckOver can be stored in a garage, as long as the temperature won't exceed 120 degrees, or go low enough to cause the product to freeze. Hope this helps! Best, Jeanette P.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible. So disappointed, hours of cleaning, hours of painting and it didn't last a whole year. Spring of 2015, I scrubbed my deck to remove all dead wood, splitters, grime and grunge. It's a second floor deck, with no access to the ground, only entry from our bedrooms. Followed Behr's directions to a T. As you can see from the photo, I might as well have used regular paint. Do not bother with this product, it's not worth the time and energy, you will put in, let alone the cost. The only area that it didn't peel in random spots was in the shade, near the house. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Looks Good Initially Needs constant attention, cracks peels and does not look good after years one and two. October 14, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by So far so good.... So far so good, it was a lot of work putting on two coats on a 20x15 foot deck.. I also used it on my front door entrance threshold since there is a need to fill in a crack there as well and it said it works on cement so.... I picked the slate to match the existing slate hearth on the fireplace so I think that the house is looking more unified. It would really take a couple of years of use to know how my choice works but it sure looks a lot nicer now. April 5, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Aweful for decks Used this on an older wood deck. Wood is solid, but worn. The problems with this product are numerous. - The "smooth" version results in a sand paper-like finish. Picks up mud and dirt and cannot be cleaned, even with brush, soap and water. Only way to "clean" is to apply another coat. - It is difficult to apply. Consistency of paste. - Expensive as it doesn't spread very far. - Doesn't cover cracks in wood as advertised. - Is not waterproof. - Deck gets direct afternoon sun. This product absorbs sun and creates a lot of heat. You can't stand on the deck in bare feet or let pets out. My 10-year-old pine deck boards have begun to put out sap! I can't imagine a worse product to use on your deck. September 11, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Should be labeled....FOR USE ONLY WHERE NOTHING SILL TOUCH IT. It is now peeling off badly When you consider the time, effort, and money needed to take on this project it is not at all worth it. I too followed the Behr instructions for prep to a T. If they said use Behr such and such...I used Behr such and such. Well, it didn't last two years. This is the second summer now and I am looking at very bad peeling. I will try a different product next time around. I found that is scratches very easily and the scratches are forever. August 15, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not a good Product Unlike other reviewers I have only had my Deckover on for a few days, so it hasn't started to peel or crack. My issue with the product is that it scratches extremely easy. After following all the instructions and letting the product dry for 48 hours before letting anyone or anything back on the deck, I put my dog out. Every place he walked scratched the surface. Pulling out my deck chairs to sit down leaves permanent marks on the surface of the deck. My barn read deck looks like a chalkboard from normal everyday use. The product is also hard to apply. It is thick and difficult to get good coverage. Many spots needed 3 coats to fully cover. It took almost a full gallon more than it should have based on the sq. footage of my deck. If using a roller, apply very slowly or thick spatter will fly all over. July 29, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Run fast from this product.... Prepare to replace your wooden deck within two years if you use this product. This product bubbles, then peels after two years. But that is the end stage. During the two years prior to peeling, the product has created a situation in which the wood rots, making the deck unsafe to walk on. Run from this product. If it was not such a hassle, I would take Behr to court for damages to replace my deck. August 15, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Deckover Horrid waste of money one year later peeled off deck railing peeled off steps stayed on deck so far 2 coats after sanding waste of time money August 9, 2016
