This is the color I wanted when I re stained by storage barn about 10 years ago. I love the bright red color. Since it was going on T-111 siding, I decided to use a brush. The brush should be 4" good quality, as the paint is really thick, which gives better coverage. It took me a little over one gallon to do my entire 10' x 10' barn.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by NixTools I like this stuff.
It's like covering something in tar which is about the same consistency. I started with a trailer wood deck and after 4 months in the sun it still looks like the day after I painted it. It sealed it so well I painted my wifes rocking chair. It was left out side and all the varnish was coming off and we were going to throw it away. I rough it up to get all the loose stuff off and gave it a coat. Now we just leave it outside rain or shine and it stays looking good. One note there is an abrasive quality to this paint that can exfoliate the skin :) ï. It is great for walking surfaces do to the nonskid quality.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by AaronC Great product
Used this over 400 square feet of deck last weekend. First, some tips. Went over very well, first coat goes on somewhat touchy, but once you get the hang of it, its easy to work with. Filling cracks, nail holes, etc doesn't quite go "as advertised", especially cracks. Used 2 different brushes, smaller foam ended up working better for holding enough of it to fill anything in, and make sure you smooth it over with a roller afterwards, and you're better off filling the cracks before you put the first coat on, then again before the second coat. I'd also invest in the least quality rollers/roller covers/brushes you can get, as it's a LOT easier to just pull the cover off and pitch it, along with the brushes, and the roller will be covered in splatter. You can reuse the trays. Mix very well before you use it, and try to keep the tray fuller, because when it runs low the product get really gritty. It's also listed as 50 square feet of coverage for 2 coats per gallon, BUT I did over 400 square feet total with the decking, rail tops (also made of decking), stair treads and landing with one 5 gallon bucket, and there is still at least 3/4 of a gallon in the bottom. Which means I've got a lot leftover because I bought extra gallons to cover.
All and all this seems to be a great product. Very durable, we've moved furniture and new appliances over it. Barefoot friendly. Keeps the woodgrain, but has the "feel" of composite decking. Goes on easier than the other stain we used before, and lots of color choices.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by bayouguy Big improvement in appearance and function.
Deckover filled in most small cracks and evened the surface of my two porches. It also has an additive that improves traction, making wet surfaces less slippery. I
applied most of the paint with a roller, using a brush on less accessible areas and larger cracks. The larger cracks
(1/4 inch) take several additional coats with a brush. Clean up is very easy, just soap and water. The appearance of the porches is greatly improved and much safer when wet. Durability is yet to be determined.

Works very well. It looks like I have a new composite deck. Goes on slower than paint because it is so thick but dries quickly. I had to use a brush to get it into the deep cracks then use a roller for a smooth finish. I was looking at replacing my deck boards because they were weathered and giving off slivers now I don't need to. Water clean up is nice also.
