Product was easy to use and performed as advertised. As long as instructions are followed results are great. I would recommend.

Although Behr Deckover is comparable in price to other deck coatings it does not live up to the hype. I have no issues with the coverage, however, I used a light grey and it is already embarrassingly dirty looking and will not come clean. I realize that the product has a rough texture but if it is going to hold airborne dust and dirt DON'T offer this in light colors! We just applied this in June so time will tell if it holds up to winter. Could only recommend this to people I don't like.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by DeckDoc Looking good, but will it last
I have a 12' x 36' deck made of PT wood, that had Sico premium opaque wood stain on it, that is what was left of it; Took 2 days to sand it down to bare wood. Bought a 5 gallon of textured Deckover (for some reasons, unable to write a review on that side)
First impressions: This stuff smells really bad when you open it, not unlike amonia. It is the tickest stuff I ever painted with, very close to concrete.Forget using the screwable cap, the stuff will take forever to ooze out.
I used a 1/2" pile roller as suggested, and more or less quickly got the hang of how much to have per dip without having to much drip.
The coverage is great, say 4 out of 5; stuff being so thick you have to work it in in some areas. Oddly enough, the second coat took more product than the first.
A word of caution: Instead of going with the boards lenght, I followed another reviewer's advice and went across about 4-5 boards, and then only board wise to smooth it out.
The resulting effect is the across board rollers passes showing a little. I will live with it but when a touch-up coat will be needed, I will be sure not to go across.
They say it feels touch dry within 4 hrs, but my experience is more below an hour. The end result is quite pleasing, kind of rubberized. Here in Montreal south shore, we get all kinds of weather, so I am curious (worried?) to see how this will age down.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Mari Big Disappointment!
I spent a lot of time preping my large deck, followed all directions carefully and even sanded the area. Looked terrific last fall but I noticed this Spring chips in several areas; these "chips" peeled into unsightly strips. Deck looks terrible and will take hours to repair. This product also stains from foot traffic -- scrubbing doesn't remove the marks.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Wiley Very disappointed
Used Deck Over by Behr late June 2014, and is already chipping away on my deck. I put two coats on the surface. I had used Behr paint for my house 9 years ago, and it still is great. Very disappointed in this product. Is Home Depot or Behr offering any refunds?

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by msdakota2002 Extremely disappointed in this product
I applied Deck Over late last summer (2014). I followed the directions, stripped and sanded my deck and it looked great through the fall. However, after the snow melted this spring and my deck emerged I was so disappointed to see peeling paint and even bubbles under the deck paint. I can't even sweep the deck because I am just making the chips larger. The peeling is all over; upper deck, lower deck and the stairs. It is beyond repair and I am disgusted. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Snickers worst purchase ever!
Usually when you make a purchase and the item does not meet expectations, you can simply return the item back to the store or manufacturer. In the case of paint, you end up losing your purchase price plus your time, effort, and labor. One year ago, I decided to refinish my wooden deck and after extensive research I decided on the Behr deck over. They call it stain, but it is anything but stain. It is "thick as mud" paint! I followed all the manufacturer suggestions for preparation including cleaning and sanding. The "paint" was horrible to apply and almost impossible to roll because it is ridiculously thick. Anyway, I figured it was worth the effort if it would end up looking good and have lasting qualities. I believe it took 5 or 6 gallons to complete the deck. When it was finished, it looked ok but not great. Today, one year later, the deck looks worse than it did before I did the "deck over". It is cracked, peeling, faded and looks absolutely horrible. Actually, this morning I was using my leaf blower to remove tree buds and dust from the deck and the "paint" actually peels away with ease. So, if you are doing research like I did for the best product to refinish your deck, my only suggestion is DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT!
