Product was easy to use and performed as advertised. As long as instructions are followed results are great. I would recommend.

Although Behr Deckover is comparable in price to other deck coatings it does not live up to the hype. I have no issues with the coverage, however, I used a light grey and it is already embarrassingly dirty looking and will not come clean. I realize that the product has a rough texture but if it is going to hold airborne dust and dirt DON'T offer this in light colors! We just applied this in June so time will tell if it holds up to winter. Could only recommend this to people I don't like.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by DeckDoc Looking good, but will it last
I have a 12' x 36' deck made of PT wood, that had Sico premium opaque wood stain on it, that is what was left of it; Took 2 days to sand it down to bare wood. Bought a 5 gallon of textured Deckover (for some reasons, unable to write a review on that side)
First impressions: This stuff smells really bad when you open it, not unlike amonia. It is the tickest stuff I ever painted with, very close to concrete.Forget using the screwable cap, the stuff will take forever to ooze out.
I used a 1/2" pile roller as suggested, and more or less quickly got the hang of how much to have per dip without having to much drip.
The coverage is great, say 4 out of 5; stuff being so thick you have to work it in in some areas. Oddly enough, the second coat took more product than the first.
A word of caution: Instead of going with the boards lenght, I followed another reviewer's advice and went across about 4-5 boards, and then only board wise to smooth it out.
The resulting effect is the across board rollers passes showing a little. I will live with it but when a touch-up coat will be needed, I will be sure not to go across.
They say it feels touch dry within 4 hrs, but my experience is more below an hour. The end result is quite pleasing, kind of rubberized. Here in Montreal south shore, we get all kinds of weather, so I am curious (worried?) to see how this will age down.

I spent a lot of time preping my large deck, followed all directions carefully and even sanded the area. Looked terrific last fall but I noticed this Spring chips in several areas; these "chips" peeled into unsightly strips. Deck looks terrible and will take hours to repair. This product also stains from foot traffic -- scrubbing doesn't remove the marks.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by WhiteMountainBuild Buyer Beware!! This product peels off!!
At first the paint makes your deck look great, but not for long!! After some snow & rain over the span of a few months the whole deck is a peeling mess!!! There goes so much of my time (an entire weekend) and money, a total waste! Now I have to undo the mess, that should be fun.......HORRIBLE PRODUCT, I would never recommend this!!!!!
We are happy with Home Depot 99% of the time shopping there. In this case alone, especially because it is Behr (Home Depot) paint, we have to give such a low rating. We spent so much money and time using a product that turned out to be an utter disaster. Home Depot should have tested this product thoroughly before putting homeowners through this kind of nightmare.

We bought this product at our local Home Depot last summer (2013) to paint the front and back deck. With a name like Behr, we thought we bought a superior product...
Pros: We liked the way it covered imperfections in the wood from weathering. It filled in cracks nicely. It coated thickly and seemed like a durable product.
Cons: One year later we have chipping paint in the traffic areas of both decks. We have two dogs that walk on the back deck daily and they track dirt on the deck. This dirt has become fixed in the paint and does not go away, even when power washed.
Bottom Line: We do not recommend this product. For the $150 dollar price tag, it should last longer than a year. We are now searching for a new product for our deck.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by DeckoverDisappointment Don't waste your money
Do not waste your money on this product. It does not last even a few months.
I used this for my deck last fall. Looked great for a few months. I scrubbed and cleaned the deck prior to application and applied two coats. Now, it's chipping off anywhere you walk or anywhere you want to place any items. Don't even try sliding a chair or table even an inch. The Deckover will chip right off. It did do a fair job of filling in any board cracks. There has not been a high level of traffic on my deck during this time so I did not expect Deckover to fail so quickly.
My neighbor also used Deckover on his concrete deck. Had it scrubbed and cleaned prior to application. He did this last summer. He had the same experience I had where it looked great for a few months. Now it's chipping away all over the place and he now is looking to get the deck repainted. He had a professional handle the job for him.
The attached pictures are just a couple small chips. I unfortunately repainted some of the larger areas before I thought to take pictures of them.
I do not recommend using this product.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by tedsgirl6 Peeling after one winter. All that work for nothing!!!
I have a relatively new deck: no large cracks, holes or peeling wood. But I wanted something I wouldn't have to redo every few years. This seemed like the perfect answer and I love Behr paint. Boy, what a mistake. Last year it was new so very few reviews. Now most of us who put this down last summer/fall are reaping the horrible consequences. Stay away from this product. Now I have a mess on my hands because once you paint a deck you have to repaint because it's impossible to get it all off easily.
