I have some pretty wood siding for the exterior of my house (picture attached) They aren't terrible, but I know some regular paint will show the imperfections. I would like to try and cover up the scrapes and cracks. Would this work painting wood panel siding?

5 gal. #PFC-68 Silver Gray Wood and Concrete Coating is rated 2.7 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible product Horrible product never recommend this product. Labor intensive, like spreading brownie batter. when it dries it is so much lighter than the sample color we chose. After only few months it started chipping and pealing. Worst results ever. Still have two gallons not even going to try to use them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not good for me and I don't have a lot of use I agree with applying this in the early morning. By the end of the day, the stuff was very difficult to work with. That's not my problem however. The steps of the deck (a porch and deck) are already peeling. These are exposed to the most weather. Now I'm wondering what I need to do to repair it -- if it's worth it -- or to strip the stuff and start with a different product. Finally, this stuff was applied on the front of my house. They probably suggest keeping the windows closed, but it didn't occur to me. So my house was filled with a terrible smell. And I was sick for two days afterwards. I have had this problem before, but I usually use latex low odor paint, so it didn't occur to me to do that.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Revitalizes Weathered Deck In the before pictures, you can see that the weather had really deteriorated our decking. The original deck paint could not hold up to the sun and the weather, and the wood had split in many locations. Prior to application, we scrubbed the decking with an all purpose cleaner, and pressure washed to remove the cleaner and loose paint. The application of the Behr Deck Over was fairly straight forward when applied per the instructions. I do not recommend applying in the direct sunlight on a warm afternoon. The first coat tended to dry faster than we could apply the material. the second coat was applied early in the morning before the sun hit the deck. It went on much smoother than the first coat. The pictures show the deck following the second coat. We will be applying a third coat, since we have enough left over. My only "Con" is that the paint shows the footprints and traffic dirt in a relatively short period of time. After a light mopping, the dirt and footprints came right off.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product, but not too easy to work with. The coating creates almost compound board looks to a deck, which is nice. However, the product shall be applied when many conditions are met - air humidity, quality of deck preparation is ideal, dryness of deck boards, deck is in the shade and so on. The product is so thick that it is hard to get in between boards, in cracks and other spots like that. Two layers shall be done which extends project time Significantly - especially if weather conditions are not ideal for an extended period of time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Surface is high maintenance While the Deckover paint covered slight imperfections as advertised, it is VERY difficult to keep clean. We chose the pale gray color and find it shows footprints, smudges from fallen leaves, and is impossible to clean even with a soft brush.Frankly, it is very unsightly and also scratches easily. If buyers want to use this (expensive) product, I would strongly recommend that darker colors be selected to avoid this annoying outcome. I regret the time-consuming process and expense resulting in overall disappointing results. Can't recommend the product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good at coverage But Product was the heaviest paint I ever used, and even so It required at least two coats to cover completely.Coverage was under stated on the can. I put it down on my concrete patio (Approx 10 X 50) it took three gallons. I do like the result but very expensive at almost $40.00 per gallon.. I did it on a very hot 90 degree day. By the way I power washed first.Hope it lasts several years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Coverage Using Behr Premium DeckOver on weathered wood, I found that it has good coverage qualities without a critical need for primer. It appears that a second coat may result in slightly better performance, which would indicate a need for primer on raw weathered wood. However, the results without primer for my purpose is excellent. The Silver Gray color is close to the color of new concrete, making this a good choice for painting that material. I'm working on a project now to repaint concrete steps and will report on the results at a later date. For now, without the benefit of how this paint performs over time, I can recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Deck Looks New Again! It was time again to refurbish my deck posts and railings due to extreme weather here in Tennessee and the weather the past couple of years with extreme heat, rain and hail damage. I searched for the best possible paint or stain for a well used deck and decided to purchase BEHR DeckOver. I am so very pleased with the results. The deck looks great and the application of the paint was very easy. It dried within 20 minutes so I could apply the second coat. The paint sealed a lot of rough spots eliminating possible splinters. I love the color and the finished product. I would highly recommend the use of the BEHR DeckOver products and their large variety of colors.
