I applied this product to the wooden deck of my old boat over a year ago...salt water, sun, dogs, and regularly wet and it's STILL perfect...not sure what the others have done wrong...perhaps the wood was not dry enough when they applied it? I would and DO highly recommend this product and would only advise that the wood is extremely dry before applying it (I didn't even use the cleaner since I was applying it to unsealed, untreated wood)...again, maybe that's where others went wrong as I would suspect the product wouldn't stick if the stripper/cleaner had soaked deep into the wood.

I put DeckOver down two years ago and followed the instructions on the label to a tee. It was very difficult and labor intensive to prep for and apply. Ten months later it started to peel and now it looks awful. I don't know how I am going to remove it, may have to turn the boards over or rebuild the deck.
Don't every buy this product for older wooden decks.
A friend of ours used it on concrete around a pool and it has lasted for 3 yerars now

I have three large decks and bought this product last year. I spent about $500 and about 100 hours of work for all three decks. I followed the instructions completely, and my decks looked fabulous (at first). After the winter, all areas that were exposed are peeling. My covered decks still look great, but anywhere the weather has touched the paint it is coming off. I'm so disappointed. I'm a mom of three kids six and under, so for me to find the time to do this was a big feat. I've heard Behr says people having these problems did not apply the product correctly, like I said - I followed the instructions on how to prep and apply to a t. If you have a covered deck this works well (so far anyway) but if you have exposed wood this product will not hold up. I read a lot of the positive reviews, and they are written right after application, not after the areas have been exposed to the elements for some time. I have used Behr products for years, and always been happy. I. give it two stars since my covered decks still look great. Hope this helps.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by japper49 Good paint, better lawn killer.
The paint applies easily except in direct summer sum. Then it tends to harden so quickly that you get bumps and texture because you roll over it as it is semi-set. Other than that, it covers like the manufacturer claims and it seems to wear well and clean easily. The real surprise was that the runoff from cleaning the roller and pan killed everything with roots that it came in contact with. There was nothing on the product label that mentioned any kind of environmental hazard nor any real cleaning instructions.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Terralore Very happy so far
This product went on very thick and covered well. Looks nice, dried fast and filled the gaps and cracks. I stopped every hour to clean my roller and brushes so the job took a little longer than expected but worth the effort. Very happy so far. Hope it lasts a few years without peeling. Clean-up was easy, soap and water.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by burntout not as great as it sounds
The paint is very thick and takes lots of paint and time to apply. it does cover gaps, but only if you work it in. I used much more product and three times the time I thought it would take. It states a slip resistant surface, but also says slippery when wet. For the time and money I spent applying this product it better last a long time!
