It is very important to follow the directions on the paint can or bucket to insure a quality paint job. Remember to stir the paint often to keep a constant color in the paint. Only paint within temperature guidelines to keep the paint from clotting. Rolls on great and covers cracks as advertised.

have recommended this product to several neighbors who looked at my results and purchased the product for their decks. Eliminates the need to replace old deck wood.

The BEHR Deckover paint is thick and covers nicely. It is quick drying and I think it will be very nice when I have the deck completed.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by catm Do not put this stuff on your deck!
I bought this product to make a newer addition match the older part of my deck. It was time consuming and difficult to apply. We used 2 coats as recommended. It covered well and did mask the difference in age of the 2 sections.
My first complaint was that it made the surface of the deck (which surrounds a pool) incredibly hot and impossible to walk on without shoes.
Now after only 2 years the finish is cracking and peeling. It looks terrible. My once lovely deck is an eyesore! A waste of time and money that destroyed my deck, which was a considerable investment and can not be presently replaced.

I bought two 5 gallon containers of this stuff, as well as the treatment prep solution to clean the deck off with first. I followed directions pretty much to a “T” though 2 coats of it...even doing this in a late Fall weekend when the weather wouldn’t cause issues. Looked great when it went on and was thinking with that strong ammonia odor that this stuff was binding to my wood really well. Was pretty pleased with it for many months. However, after this past winter, I have cracking & peeling just about everywhere including the hand rails that don’t get hardly any touch. Over $400 down the drain if you add up all the supplies this took. VERY disappointed.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bartons1944 VERY Disappointed
August of 2013 we bought 15 gallons to refresh our deck. Gave it 3 coats and look acceptable. Well, we had a snowy winter and now it looks awful. It is peeling in sheets on much of the deck. I have no idea what we are going to do now. I am not sure if there is a solution. There was no salt applied to the deck so that was not an issue. I am truly devastated having spent almost $500 for this product. I cannot afford to have the deck rebuilt so I am stuck with a terrible deck on my home. I have used Behr products before and they are always very good. I guess I am truly stuck!!!!
I have always been a Home Depot guy and actually worked there for a while 2 years ago.

Used this on my deck last summer and thought it looked great. Spring has sprung and the paint is pealing off in sheets. I'm wondering how I can remove it so I can have my deck restrained again this year. Complete waste of money!!!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Calvin Junk !!! DO NOT put on concrete patio !! four months and it's filthy. Does not come clean .
I am furious with this company. Applied to concrete patio. After just four months it's filthy dirty and can not be cleaned. It attracts dirt. Everything shows on patio. shoe marks, furniture marks. Worst part is that is seems to remain soft enough to let dirt ground in. It never hardens like an epoxy. I don't know what the heck to do with my patio now. How the am I going to fix this. I should have used a stain. I was told to use something from Sherwin Williams and not use Home Depot products. Should have listened. My patio is ruined !!
