Refurbished wood that has been sanded

I have removed all decking, removed all screws and turned over the wood and sanded the better side. It had few drips of old stain from other side which were sanded 99-100% off . Boards look yellow with a few spots here and there that are questionable for cleaning or just more sanding. Deck will be 5 square. Can you suggest the best prep before installation of your Deck over? The board with all the blue that is down will be removed. Didn't like it once it was down. FYI: We lowered the deck over 2 steps and reused all the wood. Thanks for any help.
Asked by: armymom
Hello armymom, Great question. Once the surface has been sanded, then we recommend using our All-In-One Wood Cleaner No. 63 over the entire deck. After using our cleaner, we recommend letting the surface completely dry and then applying 2 coats of our DeckOver. Best wishes, Kevin

How long after power washing do I have to wait before painting? I read 2 days for staining but was hoping for less time

Asked by: Jeff
Hi Jeff, I'm glad you reached out to us with your question! We suggest waiting at least 24 hours for your deck to dry out before painting or staining it. If your deck is in an area that does not get a lot of sun, or if it still feels damp, it's always better to give it more time to dry rather than rush. Best of luck on your project! Regards, Amanda

Can an airless sprayer be used to fill cracks up to 1/4 inch or must I use a brush for them?

Can an airless sprayer be used to fill cracks up to 1/4 inch or must I use a brush for them?
Asked by: Ronbo
Hi Ronbo617, Thank you for your question. We recommend using a brush for best results. This will allow you to work the product into the cracks and ensure that they're filled completely before applying 2 coats of DeckOver to the rest of the surface. Good luck with your project! - Sara

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't Buy This Well I fell for the hype and am now having to re-board my entire Deck. This product works well on ONLY new wood with little if no cracking. I had some new wood down and some older but not in bad shape. This stuff stuck so well on the new wood I could not power wash it off. But on the older wood it flaked and peeled in the first 6 months. So I had a deck that half peeled and couldn't get the other half off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great I like this no more splinters from NON treated wood deck. That was made 10 years ago, you can mop it if you get a lighter color. I did get 3 chips about the size of a quarter in the high traffic areas after a bad winter with a lot of shoveling and such. Might want to save a gallon or a 1/2 for touch up/ Rest held up real well. Normal water treatments just were not cutting it, this is much more permanent .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing I built outdoor benches for our paved patio, and although the seating is made of pressure treated 4x4, the wood has cracked due to exposure to rain, cold and heat after a year or so. The crack started to open wide and the benches looked pretty sad. So reading up on restoring deck with this paint, I tried the product on our benches. Amazingly, a few coats later, all the benches look like they are new. As the instructions of the product indicate, it's a thick material, and application of it requires patience. I used 3 coats allowing each coat to dry in between. And it took the entire weekend to finish 4 benches with back rest. That said, once the work was done, the benches were restored to their glory days. And since the paint was applied, I have yet seen any crack or deterioration... it's been 3 months under the rain, cold, and under baking sun on Florida... so far so good. Time will tell in the next few more months when we enter the summer months, but from what I can see now, it's going to last.
