Hi Kallen!
Thanks for writing in with your question. I'd definitely recommend stirring the paint for a good five minutes; this will allow all the solids to blend together. Hope this helps! Best, Jeanette P.

Answer:
Hello Bmw9,
Thanks for your support of Behr products. For light dirt stains, we recommend using soap and water. If it's more difficult to clean, then there's the option to use a concrete cleaner/degreaser (even for wood surfaces). Be sure to test out the cleaner first to ensure it's working. Well wishes for your project!

Hi matt,
We appreciate your interest in our DeckOver. Unfortunately we don't recommend applying this product to a surface that will be driven on. You may need to reach out to your local Home Depot some recommendations on a wood coating that will hold up to vehicle traffic. Good luck with your project! - Sara

5-gallon Wood and Concrete Coating is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 1390.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from DeckOver peels off I used DeckOver in 2014 on one of my decks. It looked really great and still does. So in fall 2015 I purchased more and did another deck and steps. Well, something has changed. The 2015 coat is peeling all over the place, even though I used the same preparation method for both applications. What happened??? Now I have to sand everything off and I don't know what to use. I want my money back! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from do not waste your money. After just one season, the paint is peeling off my deck. So much work went into cleaning and applying the paint and now it looks horrid.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from not worth the money. Purchased premium deck over. We had deck professionally prepared and product applied by same company. Owner of company said this would not be his 1st choice of product due to difficulty of application. it did not fill cracks as stated. product dried unevenly. Product pealed immediately. After complaints, the crew came back, resanded, reprepped all areas and applied 2 coats as directed on web site and on can. Still got same results. The crew worked very hard to satisfy us. This was not a small project with over 1000 sq.ft needed to be addressed. Will not use behr again. If the Pros couldn't make it work, how is the average DIY going to. Not happy. Rated 1 out of 5 by from 2 days of paint, lasted 24 hours. Bubbled.. Flakes After spending 2 days painting our walkway, the BEHR Deckover paint bubbled and cracked within 24 hours of application and it was NOT raining. For MONTHS I watched it bubble, chip and flake. My walkway looked AWFUL. I had to rent a power-washer to remove the rest of the Deck-Over in the Spring. THEN I had to spend 4-hours with a shop vac vacuuming up the flakes that had spread through my yard from my flaking walkway. All total I lost almost 5 DIY days applying then removing this product. Rated 1 out of 5 by from totally peeling in one year it was not easy to apply. Basically you had to "slather it" on . it did not work well with brush or roller and it was tough to get an even coat. it looked pretty good for almost one year but not it it is pealing badly and my deck looks terrible. I'm not sure what to do because if i paint over it, that will just peel away also. So unless I want to strip the whole thing, or build a new deck, I have a peeling ugly deck

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product, great customer service We bought the deck over last July. We used it on our back deck and pool deck. Looked amazing when we were finished. This spring the back deck still looks great, but the pool deck has paint peeling up ever where. I called customer service and they are replacing the paint and cleaner and gave instructions how to fix it. We shall see after we get the new paint and see how it holds up! Rated 3 out of 5 by from Deck Over Paint I used Rustoleum Restore in 2014. It started bubbling up (because of getting wet) within 6 months but we have lived with the chipping and pieces tearing off since then. About a month ago I started scraping it off and then used the Behr Stripper and then the Behr Cleaner and then I sanded it with my belt sander. I put two coats of Sable colored Deck Over on the deck. My question now is I can rub the deck with my bare foot and it leaves a white mark on the deck like someone used an eraser on it. Has anyone experieced this before? It doesn't look the best with the white marks. As far as people saying it was way thick and hard to roll on I did not have a problem with it. My deck looks great before the white marks. It sure covers up the small cracks.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst paint ever Worst paint I ever used. Started peeling in 1 year and by the 2nd year it is peeling all over. I can blow some off with my leaf blower. I would remove all of it but you don't make a product to remove it. I guess I'm just stuck with peeling paint for years to come. Thanks for such a terrible product. An avid Behr paint user.
