The Behr's Non Skid Additive solved the problem of slippery back stairs - living next to the water, the stairs have always been slick. Only reason for four not 5 stars is that it took a day and one half to dry completely - I read the reviews and made sure the ratio was correct and spent extra time mixing the non-skid with the paint - believe the extra time was worth it since there were "pockets" of additive that were still dry that showed up after a few minutes of mixing - additional mixing eliminated these "pockets" of dry material and made for a uniform and relatively quick application (by paint brush).

Great finish on my basement stairs. I only wished I had planned ahead. Once you mix in the additive, you really can't paint anything else. So I should have painted the rails and sides first, then mix in the additive for just the stairs only. Anyway, my stairs are safe.

This is my second time using this and it is exactly what I had hoped for. I painted the floor and ramp of my enclosed trailer using the non-skid floor finish additive and I am totally satisfied with the results. I asked them to add this to my paint at the store and then they mixed it for me too. Great coverage than was even. This time I left the additive out to do some trimming and edging, then I'll use my cordless drill to mix the additive at home.

Just a warning to anyone that is painting AND sealing concrete surfaces... use this additive in your paint, NOT your sealer. I spent three days pressure washing, then painting two coats of Behr Solid Color Concrete Stain, and then putting down two coats of Behr Wet Look Sealer. I put the additive in the second coat of the Wet Look Sealer and after I rolled it down, it ended up becoming kind of "foamy" and it dried a milky-white color because the foam dried in place. I had to spend three days getting it off with paint stripper so that I could do it again. This time, I added the non-skid to my second coat of paint, then put two coats of sealer over that. You can still easily feel the "grit" through the sealer and it looks beautiful because both coats of sealer dried crystal clear. I even called Behr and they told me that you should use it in you color coat, not in your sealer.

Prefect for high traffic areas like entrance, laundry or simply walkways on your yard. EXTREMELY easy to use. Just add the contents to the paint you plan to use. We first painted our entry way and after it rain we discovered that it was super slippery. Then added the non skid to the same paint we use before and, BOOM!! Perfect, now it don't matter how much it rains.
