Hi Evomr228,
Thanks for writing in! The No. 436 Mulit-Surface Primer is a sealer and must be top coated with paint. Using this product will help create a thin barrier over the surface, allowing you to get full coverage of with less top coats of paint. Hope this helps, and good luck on your project! Best, Jeanette P.

Answer:
Hi LekJen!
Thanks for writing in. One coat of primer should be good over bare plywood, since it doesn't typically contain high tannins. It would definitely be okay to use 2 coats if you'd like. For your project, the primer can be recoated within an hour. Hope this helps, and good luck on your project! Best, Jeanette P.

Answer:
Hi PL,
We appreciate your interest in our primer! Unfortunately we don't recommend applying this product to fiberglass. You may want to reach out to your local Home Depot for some recommendations on what kind of primer you can use on this type of surface. Good luck with your project! - Sara

Answer:
Hi hlc24,
Thanks for your question! The No. 436 Multi- Surface Primer is great for blocking stains. After priming, test the top coat of paint on a small area; heavy stains may need a second coat of primer. Best wishes on your project! Best, Jeanette P.

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 106 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I was looking for a primer that had excellent adhesion on new bare wood that would stand up to foot traffic. In the past I have used primarily oil based primers due to their ability to adhere well to bare wood. I decided to give the Behr Multi-Surface Interior/Exterior primer a try. It exceeded my high expectations with zero issues after several years of daily floor use. I have used it on multiple projects since the original floor use with wonderful results each time. This product is highly rated IMNHO based on my experience with it to date - which has been limited to interior use on bare, new and painted wood. It's the best primer I have ever used and I will continue to use it as a result. The quick dry time is an added benefit to the outstanding sealing and adherence properties. October 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Very good and great to eliminate seperate primer and paint. Now the two coats really cover well. October 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Behr Multi Purpose Primer and Sealer I live in a 100 year-old house. I wanted to paint the pebble look vinyl square kitchen floor. I used the primer and Behr Low Lustre Porch and Floor Paint in Subtle Gray and everyone thinks it is a brand new floor. We could walk on it in 3 hours. Then back to normal use in 72 hours and 30 days to completely cure. In one year if it is scuffed I will simply recoat. May 31, 2016
