Answer:
Hello heather,
Thank you for your interest in our products. In order to for our paint to adhere properly to slick laminate cabinets, we recommend using a separate primer. We recommend using a primer specifically designed for slick surfaces like the Kilz Adhesion. After the Kilz Adhesion is applied, then you can top coated it with our Behr Premium Plus Semi-Gloss.
Best regards,
Kevin

Hello Sheena,
Thanks for your interest in our paint. Yes, this product can be tinted to up to 1600 custom colors, and color matching is also available at the Home Depot stores (taking a sample material and doing a scan to tint the paint to match the material). Well wishes for your project!

Answer:
Hi Don,
Thanks for writing in! Yes, the first coat of No. 3050 Premium Plus Paint can serve as the priming coat over bare wood. Additional coats will build evenness in color and sheen. Hope this helps, and good luck on your project! Best, Jeanette P.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this pain I started with buying one gallon of paint for my house and I love it. And know I have bought 6 more different colors cause it inspired me to paint my kids bedroom, my bedroom and kitchen. This paint is so easy to work with and best of all easy to take off your body if you are not a professional painter like me [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes Painting a Breeze I had to paint every room in the house and started using a less expensive brand. It took multiple (4) coats to cover off-white with white in one bedroom. It took me two days to paint a 10x12 room waiting for each coat to dry. When it came time to paint my bedroom, I used Behr Premium Plus in a lovely shade of light grey. From the moment I poured the paint in the tray, I realized the paint was different from the other brand. It coated the roller easily and went on the wall evenly and smoothly. It covered the old, stained, off-white in a single coat. Some stains required a second coat so I did go over the entire room a second time (the room had not been painted in almost 30 years). By the time I had finished the first coat, the paint was dry enough to start the second coat. What took two days with cheap paint took a few hours with Behr. I am absolutely thrilled with Behr. The color is gorgeous, the coverage even, and it was easy to coat the roller and apply to the wall. Behr certainly helped make the chore of painting almost a pleasure! I won't paint with anything but Behr products in the future. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ultra Pure Dream Come True! I recently purchased my first house, unfortunately it needed a lot of work in the paint department. My whole entire house was light yellow, you could not tell the ceiling from the trim! Needless to say it was awful to wake up to every morning! I could not take it any more so I bought several gallons of BEHR PREMIUM PLUS Interior Semi-Gloss Enamel paint in Ultra Pure White to paint all of the trim, from windows to door frames. What a difference! The quality of this paint is excellent, I only needed one coat which made my painting nightmare a quick dream come true. I am now a loyal customer to BEHR paint. Without a doubt the best brand of paint out there! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product! I was formerly in the painting industry for +20 years and have used a lot of good (&bad) paint products. I've been working in a different line of work for +12 years now and was researching what paint manufacturer to use to repaint the interior of my home. Consumer Reports recommended this particular paint due to its high durability vs. price and they are spot-on right. This paint sprays, rolls & brushes very easily. It covers beautifully and is very durable. It glides on smoothly and isn't gritty like some production grade paints that cover well but don't last. You can't beat the value (price vs. durability) of this product. I HIGHLY recommend it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Don't Like the new Self-Priming I have used Behr Premium Plus (not ultra) from Home Depot for about 10 years now and never had a problem. I dont really like the new Self-Priming version. We've noticed that the finish is more tacky and doesn't harden as fast, so even like several days later the paint has not fully cured making it more likely to scratch/peel off if hit by something. This is not so good, when painting is usually the last thing you do on job, and the customer is "feeling" for a nice durable surface before he/she pays you. I guess this makes sense because the "self-priming" probably makes it bond better, but I've never had a problem with the old stuff with liquid sander or a good quality primer for glossy/semi-glossy surfaces. This problem is only on wood like trim, doors, and cabinets. I usually use flat paint on the walls, so there's not a problem with bonding or curing in that situation. The new flat paint is fine(no preference). I just liked the old semi-gloss more. Behr should of just gave the customer another option and still made the old formula available.
