One coat. Pretty covers very well. Mom's new bathroom looking better and better. Not much more to do. The paint is awesome and covers very well. Did not need a separate primer over a darker previous color.

love you paint....goes on very smooth and lasts forever......great colors and love your employee Lucie, she is amazing.......I watched her for about 15 minutes and she ran her tail off....there were about 10 people waiting in the paint dept. and she was the only one there .......she helped everyone and was so friendly and so great in serving her customers with a smile and getting them everything they needed.....she is a small person but picked up those 5 gallon paints like they didn't weigh anything......you have a great store and a wonderful employee.....I will be getting my paint there from now on as she is super............and does a great job matching paint.........

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by dellbo Paint and Primer in one...sort of
I love the idea of doing only one coat to paint a wall but have had a hard time making that happen--even with Behr's higher end Marquee paint. It really depends on which color is darker (existing paint or new paint) and method of application. With this paint, I used a roller to cover a light grey with an off-white. If the roller is saturated with paint, then yes it could conceivably be one coat but most of us don't dip the roller that often. So I would call this one coat and half to cover previous paint. Overall, I'm happy how it came out and I used less paint than anticipated.

Excellent Paint Good price. When painting an apartment for rental most landlords I assume will use a contractors quality paint. I find that using Behr, tho a few dollars more, ensures good coverage as well as a long life. Easily washable. etc. this is my go to paint always.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by FloridaBoy --Roll, don't brush--
I've had this paint tinted to roll on walls in a number of rooms and have had no problems with it. It's always covered well in a single coat. I had hoped to pick up a can of white and use it on new baseboards and door trim I'm installing. However, the brushing characteristics of this paint are extremely poor. As I feather the the paint back into the previous section done only a minute or two before, it doesn't blend at all. The paint starts to get tacky VERY quickly (and I work fairly quickly). I added Floetrol and it helped a lot but still I never got the transitions to disappear entirely. And you definitely can't go back for any touch up (I tried); you must wait for it to dry then sand the blemish and recoat.
So, if you're using this on walls, you should be fine. But if you're looking to brush trim or something similar, find a better paint.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by MEinNE coverage is tricky
I seem to struggle with coverage with this paint in white. Maybe I apply it too thinly, but I need multiple coats to achieve it's claim of "excellent hide". That's painting a light colored wall, mind you. I wonder how difficult it would be to cover a dark wall with the ultra pure white. Rolling achieves better results than brush. Dries very quickly so if you notice a drip, get it fast or it's difficult to brush it out without unsightly drag marks. When done, it leaves an awesome finish. I use it because I feel behr is the best paint out their, but I find myself working harder to apply this paint in white than I do their other products.
