Answer:
Hi bobbie,
Thanks for writing in! The Exterior Premium Plus paint can be applied over painted metal. If the previous paint has any gloss, it's recommended to lightly sand the surface and clean it off before recoating. Hope this helps, and good luck on your project! Best, Jeanette P.

Hi David,
We appreciate your interest in our paint for your garage! This paint can be used as a primer, so applying a separate primer isn't necessary. Your first coat of paint will act as your primer coat, and any additional coats (1-2) will build up the color and a uniform finish. Based off 600 sq. ft., we recommend using 4 gallons for 2 coats. Any of our sheens would be a great option, however if Read More

We have gone with a satin finish for our exterior. IT seems glossy enough to be washable but we can still do some touch up and not have it look too different from the original job. We had to redo around some new windows and it does blend quite well. 300 sq ft should be safe coverage per gallon per coat, so 4 gal should do your job for two coats, unless the surface is really rough. Answer:
Hi Gene,
We currently don't have a primer that will fill crack in an existing coating. Normally we recommend sanding the unsound paint off the surface before applying any of our products. You may want to reach out to your local Home Depot to see if they have a primer that will fill in cracks and smooth out the surface. I wish you the best with your project! - Sara

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome Paint We buy Behr paint all the time. We have used this exterior paint for many purposes on our property over the years. It lasts really well and we buy this even when there is another paint that is cheaper. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] June 22, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Breath of Fresh Air Took our home to a whole new level! Thank you Behr! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] June 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A great buy! The painters I hired to paint my home exterior insisted we use only this product. I dont argue with experts! It was 10 years ago and my home still looks beautiful and only took one coat. I love the results and would recommend it to everyone! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] April 8, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Really great!! I used this paint to redo the doors on my new house. I love the way that it went on. It was a bit thicker than typical wall paint, but in the end, who cares? The only reason thing I've found to be a pain is that it scratches a little when my dog shuts the dokr behind himself. I didn't lower the star rating, because even though it's scratched a little bit, it's been 4-20x per day over 4 month's time and I've only had a few small spots to touch up. It's been a really great product, and I used so little of my pint, that I'll have touchup paint for years. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] February 13, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Wrong Color for Front Door I am painting a new front door. The first coat of paint went on smoothly, but the door appeared bright pink (I had chosen a dark red color). After the second coat, it is still a pinkish color but a little darker, but still not the color that I chose.. I am waiting for spring time to put on a 3rd coat. I didn't know that I would have to put so many coats of paint on this door. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] February 11, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Exterior Paint Best garage door paint I've used, and it's self priming with mildew resistance. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] March 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Withstands test of time We painted our house with Behr paint 15 years ago and will never use another brand. We had a fire in our kitchen 2 years ago and insisted on using Behr to repaint the kitchen and are completely satisfied. we have had great results inside and out. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] February 14, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good We used this to paint all the rooms in our house. It looks good, but it shows all bumps/dents/scratches. February 17, 2016
