How do I amend my remarks made about Behr Ceiling Paint to include an update?

I would like to amend my remarks made about the Behr Ceiling Paint to add the fact that I contacted Behr Customer Support to discuss my problem. Their Customer Support Department went far beyond my expectations and not only were very concerned about it, but promptly agreed to ship me their upgraded product in hopes of correcting my problem at their expense. I could not ask any more of a manufacturer in standing by their product.
Although their product failed to cover properly as discussed in my earlier remarks, they admitted that it could be a batch problem and took 100 % full responsibility to see that I was a satisfied customer.
I will remain a Behr Paint user with that kind of people running the company.

Answer:
You could use it on a bathroom ceiling. Usually bathroom ceilings and walls are painted with a satin or semi - gloss finish. Not sure about mildew, but I live in Florida, very humid climate and have had no mildew issues inside at all.

If you're just covering white, one 2-gallon tub should do the job.

Answer:
It depends on the color and texture of the surface and the method used to apply the paint.. For a standard medium to light colored relatively smooth surface, using a typical roller a two gallon container should be sufficient to get the job done. Brushes use more paint while paint sprayers use less.

Hello Jackofalltrades,
We appreciate your question. We actually wouldn't recommend it for use on walls, but we do have a flat wall paint that's got a higher solids content. That'd be our Premium Plus Interior Flat: http://www.homedepot.com/catalog/pdfImages/33/33d29fe4-1e57-4435-accd-8a40948e6b3c.pdf.

1 gal. Flat Interior Ceiling Paint is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 466.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Job isn't done, Until the Ceiling is painted!!! Painted several rooms, and skipped painting the white ceilings since they were cathedral style and high. Well after some prodding from the Mrs, I purchased several gallons of Behr Interior Ceiling Flat White paint and finished off our painting projects in no time. The Behr ceiling paint covered nicely with minimal splatter using my paint stick. The paint dried evenly and has a smooth/even flat finish. The pure white flat ceiling nicely complements the satin white crown molding surrounding the ceiling. It's nice to purchase a product at a reasonable price and it performs well in the hands of a weekend handyman.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from You will need several coats Because of pets I must use Low Oder Low VOC paint. My ceiling had not been painted in 16 years, so it was very yellow and in bad need of paint. Cutting and applying the paint looked good, since anything would look better. Got a second gallon to do a second coat since I was doing this. Before starting the second coat I noticed a lot of see through on the first coat. I am applying the second coat heavy with little working. I will probably need a third coat . If you must use this, I would recommend this. 1. Use a primer first. 2. Put the paint on as heavy as possible. 3. Hope that with the primmer you won't need a second coat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Pleased with paint purchase I was concerned with the paint covering a 1950s house with one coat. I did not want to have to go back over the ceiling due to my rush to get the job done and my help availability. I decided to go with Behr paint based on recommendations and was very happy I did. I priced all paints from Home depot , Lowes ,Walmart and Behr was the most competitive price and I got the quality I was looking for. It covered the ceiling in one coat Bright fresh and clean. It went on easy and I was very pleased and would recommend this paint to anyone.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Change in product I've used this product for every ceiling in my house (maybe 5 years ago), and am very happy with the results. My complaint is because when I went back to pick up another gallon to do some touch-up after putting sealer over a water stain, I discovered that they've changed the color. It's now what they call "Ultra Pure White" in all sizes of can, from the 2 gal. bucket on down to the 1 qt. can. The website image must be old, as it doesn't show that color indicator, but all the stock in the store does. Naturally, I didn't find this out until I applied it, and the new color formulation is a bright (almost hospital looking) white instead of the softer creamy off-white of the older issue. Now a small touch up mandates an entire redcoat of the ceiling... major pain. Thanks Behr!
