This paint has a poor covering ability. We are repainting walls that are just a shade lighter than this paint and the old color shows through, requiring two coats to look good.
The paint is very well stirred. We have tried different rollers, and brushes and it doesen't seem to matter.
It also seems to run easier than other paints we've used.

I purchased this instead of the more expensive Valspar. After reading its desciption I thought I would give it a try. I ended up painting 3 of the walls 3 times and the 4th wall 2 times. The paint was way to watery and was dripping everywhere. When it came to using the roller, ugh.

Poor coverage. Too thin. Some gallons left a mildewy stink on the walls. Painting Swiss Coffee over Frost so its crazy that two solid coatings would look splotchy. It's white on white. Going to return what I can and repaint with Dunn Edwards or something to get rid of the smell and cover. FYI, I am a retired painting contractor. I used Behr in another condo I have and it worked well so not sure what the issue is with this product but after going through two 5 gals and four singles I am convinced this interior flat no voc is garbage.

This paint reminded me of the whitewash we used on the fence around the horse pasture when I was a kid. Unless you enjoy putting on 3 and 4 coats go to a paint store and get better paint, this stuff is a big waste of time and money

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by paintpro this stuff is a joke.
I'm not sure who JD Power and Associates polled to give this sub-standard product such a high rating, but I assure you it wasn't any pro painters.
I'd rather leave my walls bare than put Behr on my walls.

I bought this Paint to use on my elderly friends ceiling. He had a fire in his home a couple of years ago and the damage was pretty bad. I figured if it did not cover 1st time oh well, i would have to do it again. I was pretty impressed with not just the coverage, but how well it covered in one coat. His bedroom was the room with the most damage, so we did a second coat.
i painted professionally about 30 years ago, and Behr was one paint we used most often. But we now live in a remote community so until recent no one carried it. Well done Behr, nice to see your products have stayed the same and excelled.. I use Berh exclusivly again. Thank you

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by dpbrew Great paint and easy access
My Home Depot is abut 5 min. away. This paint covers well and if I run out, it's a breeze to run over for more gallons. I like using the gallon can vs. the 5 gallons because for me they are easier to keep stirred and I'm frequently ready to knock off after a gallon or two.

The color pigments in this dark gray are solid color. This may seem difficult to achieve, and one may ask why there are so many dark grays available? But as a graphic artist reading color is what I do for a living. And the most subtle warmth or coolness in a normally neutral color such as brown, gray, white or tan can make a world of difference.
I used Cracked Pepper on my latest living room makeover, and the strong pigment, ability to cover the underlying color and the lasting durability means I have the exact look I was going for.
