Premium BEHR INTERIOR?

Is Antique White #1823 available in Behr Satin interior, and if so at what cost?
Asked by: Anonymous
You can pick any white you want and they will mix it at no extra cost above the normal of a bit over $30/gallon. If you need one-coat-coverage you will have to pay $10 more and get the Behr Marquis paint in your color choice.

Can someone please tell me how to remove/dissolve Behr Inerior Satin Enamel--Ultra Pure White from carpet? I have some spots of this paint in my carpet--old and completely dry. I've tried all kinds of solvents. So far nothing works. There must be something that will dissolve this stuff --without destroying the carpet :)
Asked by: matt
This is what works fir me. 1. If the paint is still wet, I immediately clean the excess with a paper towel then follow up with a very wet rag. Cleaning over and over rotating the rag always using a nice wet clean section. 2. If the drip occurred and I didn't notice it at the time so it's now sticky, I leave it alone and let it dry overnight so it's a hard bubble the next day. Once it's hard I chip it off with my fingers. This works with floor or carpet. 3. If neither of the above works and it's a high pile carpet, I carefully trim the top surface off cutting out the paint. 4. I've also been known to put a rag covered in vinegar on the spot to soften the paint. Then use a clean rag covered in vinegar to clean the softened spot.

Can I apply polyurethane as the final coat to protect applied glaze?

I will use this to paint bedroom furniture, and then glaze it, wiping off most of the glaze to leave it in the crevices only. Can I apply a satin finish polyurethane to protect the glaze?
Asked by: Lynn
I don't see why not. That's a creative idea. I'd try a section on the bottom of the furniture first to see if it's the effect you are looking for.

After finishing the first coat of grey, I went over missed areas with a second coat. The missed areas turned to a pink tint. Showed it to the paint dept and the asst manager. They blamed it on my wall and/or that I had a different color before. Both of which were untrue. The wall was eggshell before I painted it grey. Luckily the can I brought in had drips on the side that showed the pink tint and the manager saw it. Someone didn't mix my can properly and I get accused of doing something wrong. It caused a scene which I didn't like. They gave me a new can and no issues after that.

I work for the world's largest paint manufacturer, and I can tell you that I buy Behr over our own stuff. Not only do I use this for brush on applications, but I also mix a cup of water in a full gallon to spray in my paint gun. I have used this method to spray my interior doors, and they cover perfectly. Behr is the only paint I will buy

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does Not Blend We are experienced painters were always pleased with Behr Paint until they changed it and added primer. We painted our Kitchen, Living Room and Sunroom after remodeling our Kitchen. We spent a lot of time picking the perfect colors. This was the worst paint I've ever used. It does NOT Blend. You can not go back if you see a missed spot. Even after it dried, I could not touch up roller marks without leaving more. The colors are beautiful, but the quality is terrible. It also seems putty-like and chips off corners. Completely wasted our time and money. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Love the color. But 2 coats on every wall The color is beautiful. However, I've been using Jeff lewis paint from home depot online ordering. Jeff Lewis paint has no primer, no odor but I only have to apply one coat of paint. 1600 sq. Ft. of my home was painted with Jeff Lewis paint and I purchased 5 gallons only used about 2 1/2 gallons and one coat of paint in every room including my dark brown hallway. It covered perfectly. I chose Behr this time due to cheaper price but figured since it was paint and primer in one and I was covering a light beige wall I would only need one coat and it took 2 coats.

I bought this product to paint my door and trim, which had existing Duron paint. I used a 3 inch paint brush. This paint started peeling off every where while I was painting the door. It made whole mass on my door. I had to stop painting, scratch and wash the pint off. I had to trash the paint. I had used Behr paint and other paint from Home Depot before. This the first time I had such problem. This "In One" product is no good.

Being a contractor I have used many types of paint and have found paint primers in one are usually not worth the money or time. Does not save time, you have too thick a paint, resulting in drips and runs in your final coats that you can't fix because the paint is too thick. I painted both bathrooms with the product and it was awful.

We spent about 120 dollars to do the small room. We fell in love with Behr with it's one coat coverage. The first room we used it in was another 10 x 11 room and it only took 3/4 of a gallon. I will never use anything else.

Best thing I like is no odor and dry in no time. Started painting last year only a few rooms and like it so much we decided to finish painting the rest of the house this year. BEHR paint met and went beyond my expectations. Next is outside painting and yes I will use BEHR paint.
