Premium BEHR INTERIOR?

Is Antique White #1823 available in Behr Satin interior, and if so at what cost?
Asked by: Anonymous
You can pick any white you want and they will mix it at no extra cost above the normal of a bit over $30/gallon. If you need one-coat-coverage you will have to pay $10 more and get the Behr Marquis paint in your color choice.

how long should I wait for the paint to dry?

Asked by: ALEXANDER
Normally in about one hour the paint will be dry unless it is very humid in the space. It won't be completely cured and ready for abrasion for a day.

Can I apply polyurethane as the final coat to protect applied glaze?

I will use this to paint bedroom furniture, and then glaze it, wiping off most of the glaze to leave it in the crevices only. Can I apply a satin finish polyurethane to protect the glaze?
Asked by: Lynn
Use water based Polyurethane.

Angie

I purchase a 5 gallon bucket of pure white interior satin enamel paint. I just grabbed it from the shelf. Was I suppose to add white to the paint it or wait just ready to be used? I've paints 2 rooms in my house and it's take 5 coats to cover my walls. They were a slight gray before hand so it shouldn't have taken so many coats, right?
Asked by: AceAnnie
No and that is the fact.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceptional Coverage I am a crazy interior painting lady. It is my favorite thing to do. I love changing colors in my home and I ALWAYS use Behr paint and no other. Recently I painted over a very dark blue (Mesmerize 590F-6) with a soft white/gray (Subtle Touch 790E-1). The coverage was exceptional. If I had to do it again I wouldn't change a thing. The soft satin finish adds to making my room fill larger and brighter. I am sold on Behr Satin Enamel. In fact, I love all Behr interior products. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High quality one coat coverage Going over a very dark green color I had my doubts about one coat coverage. I love Behr products and have been using them for years so I appreciate the quality and coverage. This product covered beautifully. The result was as if I I had a professional painter do it. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love It! Quite a few years back I had a friend recommend this paint to me. Wow! I've been hooked on this stuff ever since that day. For my job I do a lot of interior painting. Something that I really like about this paint is the VOC is very low. I paint in peoples houses and business's and I love how this paint has no fumes. Thank you Behr! I only buy Behr paint. I actually wish I could get this brand of paint from other places besides Home Depot but, I'm grateful that Home Depot carries it. I've rolled this paint and sprayed it and it just works for me. I highly recommend this paint to other people out there that have painting projects. Let's Behr this world together! In 2010 I painted every wall of my house with behr interior satin latex in ultra pure white. It was absolutely lovely - glowing, soft sheen, smooth, even coverage, no brush or roller marks. It held up well and cleaned easily. Had been so pleased that I wanted to paint my new house the same. What has happened between 2010 and November 2016?? Have been painting all my life and this is the worst paint I have ever used. So far I've only done the cutting in but will not continue with this paint. It is thick and gummy and hard to apply without leaving brush marks. Dries so fast that you cannot maintain a wet edge and brush drags over the surface. I will return the whole 5 gallon bucket tomorrow and will never use Behr paint again. I'm sorry to say, it's really that bad.

In fact, it was so bad, we returned it!!! We bought it to paint a small closet . First it was the smell! A very strong chemical smell permeated the entire house! I've used a lot of Behr paint and the low odor is one of the best attributes, but not this can...it was awful. Second, it didn't cover!! We used over a half can trying to get enough coverage to put on a second coat!!! It was as if the can was filled with cheap white shoe polish!!
