I have a white cement tile roof and was wondering if I could paint it with this stuff to reflect the brutal South Florida sun off of my house, and if so, how well would it hold up to the wind, rain, and mildew which is prevalent to this area?

Answer:
Hi jd, thank you for your question. No, we don't recommend BEHR PREMIUM PLUS® HI-GLOSS on roof tile. However, we have a FLAT MULTI-SURFACE ROOF PAINT No. 65 and No. 66. Be sure to follow all back label instructions and best of luck on your project.

Answer:
I recommend using a lacquer spray paint over a primer for metal. If you can tape off the areas you don't want to paint (or remove the item you want to paint) it will make the job look professional. A good can of spray paint is reasonably inexpensive. Use a Rustoleum type paint for steel or iron. I recommend Krylon for non-ferrrous metals.

Answer:
Dear tkbd,
Thank you very much for your question. BEHR PREMIUM PLUS® Hi-Gloss Enamel Paint requires a primer when going over metal surfaces. The primer coat will ensure excellent adhesion to metal. We recommend using a coat of BEHR PREMIUM PLUS Multi-Surface Primer & Sealer No. 436 prior to topcoating.
Thank you and good luck!

About two years ago, we repainted kitchen cabinets in our rental . The old oil based paint was super hard and we had to sand it to get the primer to stick. I like using Kilz Premium (gold label) for priming and Behr Marquee paint. The Behr Marquee flows like an oil base, but it's water based. It goes a long way and the finish is great. We used Behr Marquee and it came out excellent. I'm going to try to upload a picture of the kitchen. The cabinets are painted with Behr Marquee (2 years old). The ceiling is the old oil based paint (you can see the difference in the gloss). I think the kitchen looks great with the new paint! Read Less

Answer:
Hi Joe,
The best recommendation is to use a primer such as Behr Premium Plus Behr Interior Stain Blocking Primer and Sealer. You will also want to make certain that the cabinets are deglossed/scuff sanded and cleaned of dirt, grease and particulates before priming and painting to ensure proper adhesion.
Thank you for the inquiry!

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 68 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great exterior paint A bit pricey I thought, but looks really great and so far has held up just fine with the various rain showers. I chose the high gloss figuring the summer's sun would eventually start to beat down on it when summer arrives. Quite happy with the look of the paint. I did use a primer first I might add then this product. May 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by you get what you pay for i painted my bedroom with high gloss simply because of low lighting. the gloss finish refracted the light all around the room making the room brighter even though i used a dark red color. I have dogs who love to lean against and sleep touching the walls. cleanup is super easy with this paint and as many times as i have wiped the walls the paint looks as good as ever. February 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great for trim! We used the Ultra Pure White on the trim and we love it! Really adds some pop and I know the gloss will hold up well. Even Consumer Reports rated the Behr paint as one of the best you can get - can't go wrong with it! March 8, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by i'm fully convinced we bought behr interior paint at home depot and were completely satisfied with it. so when it came time to paint the exterior of our house i chose behr exterior hi-gloss paint. it still looks as good as it did 5 years ago and no peeling anywhere which i hope means i prepped the house very well. long story short, we couldn't be more pleased with your excellent paint!
