Premium BEHR INTERIOR?

Is Antique White #1823 available in Behr Satin interior, and if so at what cost?
Asked by: Anonymous
You can pick any white you want and they will mix it at no extra cost above the normal of a bit over $30/gallon. If you need one-coat-coverage you will have to pay $10 more and get the Behr Marquis paint in your color choice.

Can someone please tell me how to remove/dissolve Behr Inerior Satin Enamel--Ultra Pure White from carpet? I have some spots of this paint in my carpet--old and completely dry. I've tried all kinds of solvents. So far nothing works. There must be something that will dissolve this stuff --without destroying the carpet :)
Asked by: matt
This is what works fir me. 1. If the paint is still wet, I immediately clean the excess with a paper towel then follow up with a very wet rag. Cleaning over and over rotating the rag always using a nice wet clean section. 2. If the drip occurred and I didn't notice it at the time so it's now sticky, I leave it alone and let it dry overnight so it's a hard bubble the next day. Once it's hard I chip it off with my fingers. This works with floor or carpet. 3. If neither of the above works and it's a high pile carpet, I carefully trim the top surface off cutting out the paint. 4. I've also been known to put a rag covered in vinegar on the spot to soften the paint. Then use a clean rag covered in vinegar to clean the softened spot.

Can I apply polyurethane as the final coat to protect applied glaze?

I will use this to paint bedroom furniture, and then glaze it, wiping off most of the glaze to leave it in the crevices only. Can I apply a satin finish polyurethane to protect the glaze?
Asked by: Lynn
I don't see why not. That's a creative idea. I'd try a section on the bottom of the furniture first to see if it's the effect you are looking for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome paint This paint is great for textured walls and for someone like myself that refuses to do 2 coats! One coat is all you are going to get out of me and this paint gets the job done, I have yet to find spots that are not covered well. I didn't even prime the walls, like I said that would be to much painting for me, and the color is fabulous; the rustic tan wall and the white wall that we painted seaglass are the exact same shade, so the underlying color did not effect the outcome. This is the paint to go with, yes it was a little more expensive but we'll worth it if you don't want to paint more than one coat [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

After finishing the first coat of grey, I went over missed areas with a second coat. The missed areas turned to a pink tint. Showed it to the paint dept and the asst manager. They blamed it on my wall and/or that I had a different color before. Both of which were untrue. The wall was eggshell before I painted it grey. Luckily the can I brought in had drips on the side that showed the pink tint and the manager saw it. Someone didn't mix my can properly and I get accused of doing something wrong. It caused a scene which I didn't like. They gave me a new can and no issues after that.

I work for the world's largest paint manufacturer, and I can tell you that I buy Behr over our own stuff. Not only do I use this for brush on applications, but I also mix a cup of water in a full gallon to spray in my paint gun. I have used this method to spray my interior doors, and they cover perfectly. Behr is the only paint I will buy

In a matter of minutes this paint will dry and clump onto itself so when you run a roller over it, it seems as though your trying to paint a pealing sunburn. My roller was never dripping with paint. When I tried to thin the paint out as much as possible on the walls I have several spots where you can see the white (primed) drywall underneath. It is almost as if someone sponge painted with white. Between the peeling/clumping and the definite areas that need more than one coat, I have returned the additional ceiling paint i bought and will not ever recommend this product to anyone. There is a very fine line between too much paint, not enough, and just right.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great For Covering Up Dark Cololrs The Marquee worked great for my bedroom! It used to be a dark shade of blue however I covered it with yellow and it only took one coat! Very good paint the only thing I would recommend is to get some samples of the paint and test it because the colors on the swatch do not match the final product. I am not a painter but was very impressed on how easy it was to use this paint. I wanted to paint my wood paneling in my basement. I added 2 coats of primer and 2 coats of the Marquee paint and was happy with the results. The staff at Home Depot was very helpful!
