Hello, I have used this paint brand before several times, and I like it, although it is pricey - you get what you pay for, though.

I am looking for a bright white for my living room and kitchen, and I wonder if this is the brightest white color available. I would like it to be so bright white that it hurts my eyes. :)

Thank you for your kind reply.

Susie

Hi there!
Thanks for writing in! I recommend using the Ultra Pure White base un-tinted; this is the purest and brightest white available. Hope this helps, and good luck on your project!

I will use this to paint bedroom furniture, and then glaze it, wiping off most of the glaze to leave it in the crevices only. Can I apply a satin finish polyurethane to protect the glaze?

Hello Lynn,
Great question. Our interior paints are designed to be the final finish and we would not recommend applying anything over them.

Hi garnet1981,
Thanks for your question! "Milk Paint" is the name of the color, not the type of paint. Best wishes on your project! Sincerely, Jeanette P.

5-gal. #BXC-47 Marquee White Satin Enamel Interior Paint is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 1028.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Worth the Cost This paint does not live up to its billing. I have a great deal of experience painting, and this is the most difficult paint to apply I have used in a long time. It does not cover as well as advertised and tends to run more than it should. This is not a prep problem. The walls were prepped the same way I always do and have always had good results. I would recommend the next grade of behr paint down form this one. It is my usual choice and I have never had a problem with it. This paint is not worth the almost 40 dollars per gallon cost.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this paint. Regardless of the color you choose (because if it's too dark or too light, that's really your own fault) - the color I bought with this paint was very accurate and it went on the wall smoothly. I did need two coats, but barely. Very happy with this paint and will buy again. Note: In addition to this paint, buying good painting brushes also helps. You get what you pay for. I purchased really good brushes so I'm sure that helped as well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Happy This was highly recommended for painting kitchen cabinets. I bought one can of the satin finish in ultra white. I don't understand those who say this paint has a thick consistency. It is so thin...like the cheapest paint you could buy at a Walmart. I have painted cabinets several times and never had a problem with paint runs. Also within one minute of painting a section, I brushed over a spot with a run and it "globbed" up all over the surface. I have more work to do...sand the surface and reprep. I have NEVER had a problem with any other paint before. I am going back to the store to have them check the paint quality. I hope I can exchange. This is the first time I have written a negative review. I am so disappointed!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The worst paint ever I have used a lot of paint but this has to be the worst. I purchased dandelion to cover a medium brown paint. It did NOT cover in one coat. It was very hard to roll and even using a brush cutting in, it was difficult. I thought maybe it was just me, but my husband painted some and said it was terrible too. I was very disappointed that I spent over $100 on 2 gallons and was stuck using it. I had an 8 x 10 room and a 3 x 8 hall. I barely had enough to paint them both. The hall was an ivory and it even took 2 coats to cover properly. I pray it holds up. I will never buy this again. I will use discount store paint first. That's how bad it was.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice paint! The paint is good quality. What I was really impressed with was the service I got from the young lady who assisted me. She worked diligently to color match a shade from the lid of a paint can at least two years old. When I decided on the type of Behr paint, she mixed the color. Applying it to the wall at the house was smooth and the match was perfect!
