It is difficult to answer whether or not your current color could be modified to become a darker color. It really depends on the Home Depot store. What we suggest is to take your paint back to the store and try to find a paint associate who is excellent at color matching and tinting paints. It is difficult to answer whether or not your current color could be modified to become a darker color. It really depends on the Home Depot store. What we suggest is to take your paint back to the store and try to find a paint associate who is excellent at color matching and tinting paints. You may also want to find a paint chip that best represents the new color you would like to achieve. It is possible the paint associate can add certain colorants to your existing product to make the color darker or to match your new chip. If they cannot match a new color, then you would have to tint new paint to get a darker color.
