I like to consider myself a professional painter: I've painted every room in our house, furniture, and our kitchen cabinets, and I typically paint with either BM or Behr. The room I was painting with this stuff was a medium beige before and I needed a little umph. Went with the Classic Gold color. First coat had me really worried. You could see every brush/roller stroke and could clearly see the color underneath (as you can see from the picture). But the coverage on the second coat was great.
As for the Classic Gold color, I'm not sure how much I like it. In some lights it looks very mustardy and in other lights it looks very green. I was hoping to get more of a pure gold color. In daylight it looks nice, but I'm going to have to test out a few different types of light bulbs (soft white, daylight, etc) to make the room feel less mustardy or green and more gold.

When we purchased our house, we chose Behr Premium Ultra paint for our walls, but they were all light colors. We knew well that the light colors worked exceptionally well, but, we didn't really have any knowledge of how well their darker colors worked. Until now!
I had been debating on a "accent wall in our living room. Because of our high ceilings, and larger rooms, the light colors on all of our walls made it seem a bit cavernous. That is when I went to Home Depot and picked out Behr Premium Plus Ultra paint colors. They come in beautiful EXTRA LARGE paint swatches, so you can REALLY get a feel of how the colors look over different light conditions. I hung up the swatches on the wall I intended to paint.
One of those colors was "Red Pepper" - a beautiful deep red with great undertones that had deep rich hues that really went with my current home colors.
The paint went on in an even beautifully smooth first coat. Because we were covering up a light colored wall my first thought was that it would take more than two coats - it did not!!!
In three hours, I was putting away all of my supplies and looking at my finished work! Because it was raining an humid out, I chose to wait for an hour between coats. I then chose to wait overnight to hang my curtains and fixtures back up. By the next morning, all I could see was a wonderful new accent wall in my home! This paint is simply the best paint that I have ever used! No primer needed, no extra coats needed, so in the end, the few extra dollars that you MIGHT spend on this paint is WORTH
EVERY BIT!!! When I know that paint is needed, it is the FIRST paint choice that I go to, and will ALWAYS be the first choice!!! No regrets, no wasted money on extra un-needed supplies! Trust me on this one, Behr Premium Plus Ultra, is a home choice that you can be happy and safe with!

I love Behr paint. It is my first choice go to for my interior paint needs. When you have a medium/large indoor dog, you want a paint that is easily cleaned. I usually buy the eggshell sheen and it still cleans up without too much elbow grease!
We have just purchased our third home and I am deciding on which Behr colors to use!

I purchased the Behr Premium Plus Ultra to repaint a sunroom from a light/medium blue to an medium off-white. The Home Depot salesperson had stated that of the three Behr paint with primer products, the lowest price one really did not have primer in it. Wanting to remain somewhat economical, I chose this mid-grade product. I expected to need two coats to cover my walls even with the included primer in the paint. I used quality rollers and brushes and applied the paint liberally, however, when I was finished with the second coat, I felt a third coat was needed. I could still see a hint of the original blue color. I expected better for the reputation and review of the Behr paint.

Years ago, I tried to use another brand of paint and it literally wiped off the walls and wouldn't seal. I tried Behr paint and now I won't use anything else. The color is true to the paint cards in the store. This paint goes on even and smooth. I decided to do two coats on the house I have now because the old paint was an oil based paint and I chose bright colors so I wanted the walls very saturated, but most situations you could get away with one coat. Clean up is quick and maintenance on these walls is a breeze. A damp cloth and any mark is quickly gone. I tell everyone Behr paint is the best paint. I will ONLY use Behr. I've tried other products from Behr depending on my paint needs and I'm never disappointed. You won't be sorry picking this brand of paint.

I have been a BEHR paint fan for 20+ years....I had a huge basement remodel after a flood and had LOTS of paint to buy so of course, went to HD to buy BEHR. I do not know if the formula has changed or WHAT but this is NOT the same BEHR paint that it used to be!!! I ended up having to buy 3-4 times as much to get the same coverage as I did with 1 gallon before!! It is like it has been watered down! VERY VERY UNHAPPY WITH THIS PAINT and I bought the expensive primer/paint in one. After already getting halfway into a huge project like this, there is no going back so had no choice but to finish and spend 4 times the amount I had originally budgeted! WILL NEVER BUY BEHR PAINT AGAIN!! WOULD LIKE MY MONEY BACK!!!

Used this in all rooms of the house except bathrooms. Great color and covered in two coats despite painting over dark colors. Would definitely recommend!
