Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JPN80 French Silver PPU18-05 mainly medium lavender grey, Needs at least 2 coats for knockdown textured walls
Packaging: The paint cans were well packaged and no paint leaked from the cans.
Paint Color: French Silver PPU18-05 is a medium lavender grey in most light; I thought it would be more of a medium blue grey based on how the color appeared on my computer, which is partially correct. If it's overcast, it looks medium grey. Likewise, if it's bright and sunny, the color looks more blue-ish medium grey. Despite being a moody color (i.e. the color appears to change in different light), it's a neutral tone that does well with most colors except for cooler medium blues. For example, it matches well with builder grade beige paint (in my case, Sherwin Williams D.R. Horton White), Behr Baritone 680F-7 (deep brownish purple - another moody color), and Behr Parsnip 440A-1 (light minty green).
Paint Application, Cleanup, and Smell: This paint was still too thick to apply with a nap roller or a Wooster brush; once I thinned the paint with water per manufacturer recommendations for paint sprayer application, the paint adhered to the walls smoothly. Since my walls are knockdown textured, I have to have 2 coats of any paint brand and this one was no exception.
Cleanup was easy - just wash painting supplies in soap and water.
The paint smell from the eggshell finish was about the same as Glidden eggshell paint finishes; SH and BM eggshell finishes are a bitter stronger than Behr's.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Thapickypainter EXCELLENT PAINT AND COVERS VERY WELL
This is the brand I strongly recommend to my customers that hire me. It covers in one coat, if applied right with the exception, dark reds or burgundies do require two coats. But I used Valspar in past and that brand always requires two to three coats for good coverage, it is like, transparent when it goes on and I am not happy when I walk onto a job and see Valspar or any other brand of paint. I know I will be applying two or more coats.
STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS BRAND FOR GOOD COVERAGE, GOOD QUALITY AND PROFESSIONAL COVERAGE.
If you don't get good coverage with one coat then you are not applying it properly and are not using the right nap with roller covers. There is a difference in naps on covers and you must know the right nap to use on different surfaces. If in doubt, get online and do your research but this is the only brand I prefer to use and I am a professional interior painter with 25 years experience.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mark Excellent coverage, Perfect Color
I received a gallon of Behr Premium Plus Ultra Interior Eggshell paint in perfect taupe. The paint came nicely and carefully packaged, requiring little mixing as one would initially believe. We painted over standard finish wall paint which usually absorbs the paint requiring a second coat. But with this paint, this wasn't the case. We were able to paint the wall flawlessly with one coat to our surprise. The paint does have some odor but didn't stick around too long. Great consistency, coverage and application.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by rhondas One coat complete coverage
I have always liked Behr paint and used it when I painted my grandson's room 4 years ago. Even though the walls were off white and the paint was an ice blue, it took two coats to cover. Today I painted with Ultra over the same contractor-grade off white paint and, even though the paint was darker (Sagey), the coverage was excellent and only required one coat. It was thick enough not to be drippy and the coverage was the same with the roller, brush and paint pad. Even though the Ultra is not VOC free, it had very little odor. After leaving the house for hours and going back in, I couldn't smell the paint. This is the only one I will use from now on.

I love Behr paint. It is my first choice go to for my interior paint needs. When you have a medium/large indoor dog, you want a paint that is easily cleaned. I usually buy the eggshell sheen and it still cleans up without too much elbow grease!
We have just purchased our third home and I am deciding on which Behr colors to use!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JayM Great looking paint
Just finished painting a newly finished basement. Even though the drywaller recommended just using a paint/primer combo, I preferred to old school it and prime the entire area first with a dedicated primer. Especially since it was brand new sheetrock. It was extra work but maybe that's why I got great results. I'll never know for sure, but I went with Newport Blue in this paint, two coats, and it looks perfect. The eggshell finish masked any minor imperfections very nicely, and it dried to a very even finish.
Take time in your prep work, dont skip any steps, and you'll be quite happy when you're finished.

I purchased the Behr Premium Plus Ultra to repaint a sunroom from a light/medium blue to an medium off-white. The Home Depot salesperson had stated that of the three Behr paint with primer products, the lowest price one really did not have primer in it. Wanting to remain somewhat economical, I chose this mid-grade product. I expected to need two coats to cover my walls even with the included primer in the paint. I used quality rollers and brushes and applied the paint liberally, however, when I was finished with the second coat, I felt a third coat was needed. I could still see a hint of the original blue color. I expected better for the reputation and review of the Behr paint.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Frankrad Looks good but...
This newer formula is ok. I used nearly 20 gallons across 3 different colors of this paint on new and existing drywall. First off I found that that it does not coat well over unprimed drywall; minimally 3 coats were needed. On new primed drywall it coated much better, but still required 2 coats. On existing drywall previously painted bright white it required 3 coats, to cover it up using an off-white color. Additionally this cured paint is not very forgiving to wiping down light wall scuffs marks or dirt even with using the eggshell sheen. Personally I had much better results and coverage with the slightly cheaper premium plus line over the premium plus ultra.
