This is a good paint for high traffic areas. I used the satin Ultra in Peach Tile for my young daughter's bedroom. I've also used the satin Ultra in the kitchen of a rental unit I own, and the eggshell and semi-gloss in other applications.
The good qualities of the paint include that it touches up well, and that it is easy to spread with brush or roller, on one hand, but can still be laid on pretty thick before it runs. Unlike some paints costing a great deal more, it can be applied without very careful regard to making every roller stroke exactly the same. You won't be able to tell once the paint dries that every section of wall wasn't rolled exactly the same way, in the same direction, at the same time. This is a very, very, good thing for those of us who don't do this for a living. Spread rate on drywall runs around 350 square feet a gallon. Hide in most colors is very good, though some of the lighter deep base colors will require a third coat.
Readers of these reviews and potential customers need to understand what self-priming paint is and isn't in order to avoid a great deal of disappointment and extra work. Self-priming paint like Ultra will cover a lot of common household stains - I've had luck over crayons, permanent marker, pencil marks, scuffs, and the usual wear and tear from small children. It will adhere very well to underlying layers of latex paint. It will go over wall patches without flashing. It will adhere to properly-prepared wood. These are all good things, and mean that for most interior painting, you don't need a separate primer.
On the other hand, and this is doubtless the basis of many of the negative reviews, it is not a universal primer. It will not stick to old, glossy oil paint by itself. For that, you need a separate, specialized primer. It may not hide water stains - water-based paints can have trouble with that. It may not hide knots in wood. It won't seal in odors. It won't adhere to greasy, dirty, or chalky surfaces, and it's not a substitute for proper prep. All this is a way of saying that if you paint it on the soap scum spattered walls of your bathroom, or glass-smooth, greasy old kitchen cabinets, you're setting up for failure.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Marge Don't use this product...
This paint is only good for rough surfaces such as orange peel or knockdown. We were told to use this on our kitchen cabinets and after 16 hours of drying time it peeled right off. The paint is very thin and wattery, does not cover well and needs repeated coats to cover. Also it does not level like you would think a thin paint should. We tried brushes (Purdy), and a foam roller that only did a slightly better job. I have no idea how we will correct this mess.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by junis worse paint i ever used
used behr paint on several occasions so I feel I gave the product a fair chance. Each time the paint did not cover after 2 coats regardless of what color wall I was trying to cover. Also each time the pain ran while drying creating globs of paint on the surfaces painted. I would not recommend this product nor would I ever purchase it again

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SniperMerc A quick recoat after 4 years.
4 Years after remodeling our bathroom it was time for a quick recoat of Behr Premium Plus Ultra.
I still happened to have 3/4's of a gallon left over and it was just about the perfect amount to redo the bathroom and it came out great.
Went on nice and smooth, cutting in in a fairly complex bathroom with lots of corners and such to deal with only took an hour, and another 45 minutes to roll in the walls.
The above pictures show the original bathroom reno, before, during, and after, and then the recoat cutting in.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by lebwab Behr is the only paint I use
this is the best paint I have ever used and will not waste my time or money on another brand. The paint goes on smooth with no drops and excellent coverage. It holds up to the test of time and grandkids. I have also used exterior Behr and it is very durable and mold resistant in the humid Florida climate. These are great products and I highly recommend them. Looking forward to trying Marquee interior on my next project which will be a rather dramatic color change of a spare bedroom. Easy cleanup as well.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by KFCC Whole house revamp with Behr
I have been rehabbing my house for the past 2 years since moving in. I originally used another paint on the first room I painted. I ended up switching to strictly Behr paint after noticing that this other brand couldn't match the price, quality, and ease of Behr. I just completed my last 3 rooms and couldn't be happier with the performance and colors!
I have also had the privilege of working with the same employee for the past few years at my Home Depot, who not only is very knowledgeable but is always interested in what my next paint project is. Some weeks I was there almost everyday just for more paint. Great product... I have used every type of Behr paint and they are all superior to other brands. Thank you :)

I've been using BEHR paints for over the last fifteen years.
I have owned four homes and have always painted my interior myself. Our current home I had painted the berooms and baths but decided to hire pros to do the bulk of the house. I had insisted that the painters use BEHR paint. While the crew was out the house I had shown the bedrooms to one of the painters and the owner which loved my work and was impredded with the sheen of paint. After the painters were finished and I meet with the owner he told me that his guys lik using the BEHR paint and would consider using it in the future. Less coats meant finishing faster with less cost.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by tylujan Hate painting, but love the results!
Love this product because of the durability. We have used nothing but behr paints to paint our home both inside and out of our home. Every year in the spring we wash our home down with car wax wash and it looks like we have just painted our home again. The last person who happened to be a contractor made a comment on how nice our home looked couldn't believe that the last time we painted the exterior was 9 years ago. It still looks great! Even the eves which when in blue often fade, these have not. This is why we decided to paint the inside of our home with the same paint and I'm very happy we did. The walls are easy to clean and they stay the same color without fading. Love this paint and wouldn't paint with anything else. Now I really need to win this contest so I can have the availability to paint my parent's home. So please let me win?????
