I've painted my living room and dining room with this paint. It's a nice paint in terms of it's very white (unlike Valspar which is gray or yellowish all the time) and it does roll on smooth without a lot of splatter (which Gliden and Valspar both splatter all over) due to how thick it is. It dries quickly and with low odor. As with most paints, it does take two coats to completely cover. As for long term performance, it has held up to washing. The only reason I don't rate it higher is the cost. It's expensive for what it really is. If I were to redo my house, I'd switch to Sherwin William's and buy paint on sale there as I think it would be better quality for not much more price.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Patrick poor stain blocking qualities
This product adhered well, had a good finish, and hid well... however, it had poor stain blocking ability (that it claims to have as it's #1 trait on the front of the can). The surface was well prepared, clean and dry but had some simple water stains. The water-stained areas took 5-7 coats, with ample dry time between coats, and still some stains were still noticeable with close inspection. In the end I bought 3 gal @ $35/ea to do what 1 primer @ $25 + 1 paint @ $30 could've done (based on experience in similar situations). Bottom line, this product might be ok if you're just looking for a "bit of insurance" on a normal, simple paint project. However, if you have known problems you are better off (time, effort, and $$) to use traditional primer followed by traditional paint.

This paint is supposed to have primer built in, but don't waste your money. It doesn't cover well. I painted over light yellow walls that should have been a breeze for paint like this. It took 2 coats to cover it. Either double up what you think you need so you get matching paint from the word "go", or just do yourself a favor and step down to paint that doesn't have primer built in and primer before you paint with a quality primer. Behr generally makes a good paint, but this product isn't worth the extra money and doesn't save you any money or time using it.

I painted my newly purchased home with this paint. It worked well for what I wanted but now it is beginning peel like a sticker in areas where it was scratched or scuffed. I had half of a gallon left over and wanted to do some touch ups. When I opened the can the paint was separated. It was dense on the bottom and the rest looked like water. There was no way it was going to mix. Not sure if its something I did wrong when storing but I had so much go to waste.

This paint is the best I've ever used. I've been painting mostly interior, some exterior for over 30 years and this paint is the best. Consumer Reports ranks it #1 and they were right!! I used a dark teal color and it only took one coat....nice! I can highly recommend it and will never use anything else.
