The bottom line: DO NOT use this product if you are looking for a genuinely flat finish; use the Behr "Premium PLUS Flat" instead.
CU calls this product "Behr Premium Plus Ultra Flat Enamel."
The name is very deceptive, though certainly unintentionally so. It appears that the product is an "ultra flat" paint, but the word "ultra" is a product-line designation, not a description of the sheen.
This product is "flat" only in comparison with the paints within the Behr enamel products. The actual sheen is "eggshell" or even "satin" when compared with most any other paint, including Behr's other products (as I recently paid $10,000 to discover).
The company would do its customers a great service by using sheen designations that apply across all of its products, not just within a single product line. "Flat" should not be a term of variable meaning within a single brand.

I've used regular Behr paint for many years, and have always been very satisfied, never shopped for paint elsewhere. However, my most recent purchase of a gallon of Sandstone Cove in the "Premium Plus Ultra" flat matte paint plus primer provided very poor coverage when covering a very similar color. Simply said, a paint plus primer touted to cover in one coat - should not require two coats, especially when covering a similar color.
I asked the clerk at Home Depot if there were other complaints. She replied "several" people have told her that they preferred Glidden over Behr brand paints.
My time is too valuable to spend on poor quality paint products. I will not buy Behr brand paint again.

I ordered a paint I was currently using and knew I was going to need more. The Home Depot had this brand on sale and it was a stock color (Ultra Pure White). It arrived within 3 days and was exceptionally well packaged. Free shipping!
The Ultra Premium paint covers well although if the color you are painting over is shades deeper or lighter than the one you are using, two coats is a must and sometimes three.

The purpose of a paint and primer in one is so that you don't have to use 2 coats. By the time you pay for this paint twice it is cheaper to just get a 5 gallon bucket of primer and then your regular paint!! It didn't even come close to doing what I was told it hyped up to being. Would not recommend to anyone who actually needs something to be primed.

Having owned a number of homes over the years (and painted every one of them, inside and out), I've used several brands of paint. Nothing compares to BEHR. Five years ago I used BEHR Premium Plus to paint the interior of the house in which I'm currently living. It was great, it covered like nothing I had used previously and still looked great. My wife; however, wanted a color change in the living, dining and common areas. Last summer, I had used BEHR Ultra (Exterior) to paint the trim outside. It was even better than what I remembered Premium Plus...coverage, flow...I could rave on. So when my wife wanted the color change, I knew what paint I'd be using, BEHR Premium Plus Ultra. The paint has unbelievable hiding capabilities and goes on better than anything else I've tried and it looks fantastic. My wife is so pleased with the results that she wants the rest of the house done, so it will be back to The Home Depot for more BEHR Ultra. It may cost a little more, but It's more than worth it when you consider the savings in time and materials.

I purchased this paint Jan.31, 2013 and used it twice. The third time I poured it into the paint tray on 2-04-2014 it had chunks in the paint. In 30 years of painting I have never encountered this in a latex that is that new and remained sealed. I have 2 more gallons and will probably use a strainer bag to insure that it is chunk free!

Don't waste your money. If you follow the directions, you end up with uneven paint that peels, especially when you pull the tape off. I have used the standard Behr paint in all of the other rooms with absolutely no complaints.
Our dining room was orange, and we wanted to change the color to a light yellow/gold. We started with Kilz primer first, then bought the Behr primer/paint all-in-one thinking that we would end up with a good finish. It took over 2 coats, even after using the Kilz. If that wasn't frustrating enough, when we pulled the tape off the ceiling and baseboards, the paint peeled off 2-3 inches down the wall, forcing us to put two more coats of touch up paint along those lines. Not to mention the time necessary to cut the lines in by hand for fear of more peeling.
In the end, we would have spent less money buying another can of Kilz and 3 cans of the regular Behr, and it would have taken half the time.
Bottom line, don't buy this. If you are only painting a white or off-white wall, buy the standard Behr product and skip the primer. This is what we have done throughout the rest of the house. If you are trying to cover a tough color, use a high quality primer first, and make sure you have consistant coverage before starting to paint.
