This is good paint but you are not going to 1 coat covrage and have it look profesional unless you use a quality sprayer. If you use a brush and roller be prepared to do two coats as with any paint when using a brush and roller it appllies the paint unevenly unlike a sprayer which applies it evenly. There is no one coat paint if your using brush and roller you will always have streaks and uneven coverage unless you apply two coats. And the color your painting over and the surface being painted will vary what the first coat looks like.
So if you want one coat go rent a good sprayer if you want it to look professional and do it by brush and roller be prepared to do two coats regaurdless of the quality of paint. I will say this it goes over new textured sheetrock nicley but I am finding even that needs two coats and again thats because of the application method.. I have applied the paint to both new and painted sheetrock
I had no paint peel even when removing blue painter tape even then you should remove tape right after your second coat and it is better to do the second cost the same day. The longer you leave the tape up the more likely you will get paint peel. But with this paint I had no problems. Off to do second coat..

There is nothing "ultra" about this paint! I've lived in the same home for over thirty years and have gone through many gallons of paint. Compared to other paint brands, including regular Behr latex paint, this paint provides no coverage advantage over existing painted walls. Just like other interior paints, rolled areas have to be touched up with additional paint. Areas around trim, baseboards, corners, etc., that are painted with a brush, have even worse coverage. DON"T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by eric42066 Great high quality paint!
Not too expensive and very good quality! Paint was very easy to apply and we hardly even needed a 2nd coat. Even had enough left over to do an additional room! Very even coverage and high quality gloss.

This is a really warm gray that changes shades depending on the time of day, and is definitely more brown than blue. It took only two coats to cover a very deep kelly green. I recommend this color for anyone who wants to try gray but is afraid of making a room look too industrial and modern.

When we moved in our walls were covered in FLAT blue painted walls,,,blue was not a color that looked right - and flat paint showed each and EVERY mark - we purchased this paint on the reviews from Consumer Reports - It costs a lot more than other paints, but if you don't want to go back and paint again in a few years, we really liked this option.
Despite what they tell you at the paint counter, you will PROBABLY need two coats, especially if covering a darker wall color.
This paint stacks right up with other independent paint store paints - I just wish that the price was a bit more along the lines of the average Home Depot Shopper,,,,we go to HD to NOT have to pay the prices of those 'independent paint stores'!
That being said, we are very happy with the coverage and the richness and depth of the colors - they look like they were professionally painted!

I used this color for my living room. Everyone who sees it absolutely loves this color. Its a perfect mix of light blue and grey. Covered previous color very well, and was very easy to apply.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Painterinmo dont waste your money on the paint with primer in it
I am a believer in Behr paints and use them faithfully, but do not waste your money in buying the paint with primer. You will still need two coats of paint with or without the primer. Save the money and by the lower cost paint. It will not cover in one coat as advertised.
