This is the worst paint I have ever tried to use. It takes a min. of two coats to cover new drywall that has been primed, much of the walls took three coats to cover.

I had a bonus room that was still painted builder beige. I bought 2 gallons of this eggshell sheen paint. It didn't mix well. The colorant kept separating from the paint so I could see ribbons of color through the paint. Even though I used the paint right away and mixed it myself a ton, I still took it back to HD to have it remixed. It didn't help. The paint is super thick and the sheen looked uneven - part eggshell and part flat. I painted three coats and it still looks terrible. Sheen is uneven and I can see every roller mark and brush stroke. 2 gallons of paint, 3 days of time, hours and hours wasted. I have to buy a different brand of paint and redo the whole room.

Only had to use one coat !!! Excellent coverage and dries quickly. Was going to buy BM Regal... This saved me $17.00 a gallon and looks great. Very happy and will buy again...

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by TR497 Great quality paint
This paint went on smoothly with both brush and roller, it did not want to drip or run, it covered well on first coat. Costs a little more than some other options but I believe this is a case where you get what you pay for with respect to quality. I like this paint and will definitely buy it again. We will have to wait and see how it holds up over time, but I have high expectations for performance based on everything I've experienced with it so far. Posted 21 Apr 2013.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by jessicam Great neutral!
This is a really lovely paint color. I was struggling to find something that would look good with my builder basic oak trim and cabinets, but this did the job. It doesn't overwhelm the oak, nor does the oak overwhelm it -- it's a perfect balance. It looks very nice when the room is bright with sunlight and looks equally as nice at night when I have the lights on. Just a warning: it looked awful after coat one. But, after coat two, it was perfect!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Phoenix Great quality, lousy coverage
For a 15 x 12 living room, it took 2.5 gallons of paint. Original color was a medium to dark slate blue going to Polar Bear White. It claims to have a primer in the paint but in my opinion you are better off with a cheap primer followed by a less expensive paint. It took three coats in some places. The color is great. The quality is great. The coverage is very bad and it's going to get expensive. If money is no object, then get yourself a truckload of this and go for it.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by MuddPie Purple Hue Awkward In Living Room.
We wanted to paint our basement living room a grey color, something fresh but neutral. This color looked good when we picked it out, not as dark as Porpoise, and we got it in Eggshell. But when we put it on the wall I noticed it looked very purple. If you are thinking of painting a room grey, take the time to study about grey hues, I did not. Also take the time to test the paint up on your wall to make sure it works with your lighting. The basement has poor lighting, which completely changed the color from grey to purple, not what we thought it would be. It would be a good color for a bedroom, but feels awkward in a living room. Unfortunately, we can't afford to change it now. So we will just have to live with a purple living room, very disappointing. Will never paint again, without testing first.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by brad 3 coats to cover wall
I painted a small 10 x 12 room that originally had a light yellow and light purple on the walls. this behr paint with primer was a pink color. I used 1 gallon to paint all 4 walls with 2 coats of paint. after everything dried you can still see the original colors under this new behr paint. Now i have to buy 1 more gallon to paint a 3rd coat to cover everything up. that's 70 bucks for a tiny room. not worth the money
