I used this paint and painted over well primed new drywall. It did not cover in one coat and needed two. I also experienced experienced that "pull up" while painting, that others have mentioned...it picks up pieces of recently applied paint and drops it onto other areas...so you have to constantly eyeball your painting to pull these "scraps" out of the wet paint. I purchased this paint + primer. Wish I had just bought regular paint. Took a complete gallon to paint a small bedroom. The finish was also not as "flat" as I wished...finish was somewhere between semi-gloss and flat. I like a flat finish that completely absorbs all light...this reflected light a bit.

Went on well, but as we got to last third of the can, we noticed streaks of darker color around the can. Had to do some touch up work and of course it's darker than the rest of the room. Need another gallon to complete. Not acceptable. Time to go to Lowe's. Second time HD paint has failed. I'm done with Behr!!

I now only use Behr paint. Paint + primer seems to be the standard in the industry now and I would not paint any other way. I used this to paint a bathroom we have been remodeling. We had new drywall installed so I primed it with new wallboard primer, then used this product in a custom color the associate mixed for me - little known fact - at Home Depot the paint associates have a data base of competitive colors - so if you see a color chip in another brand they can match it. This paint covered in one coat. I had to do a couple little touch ups around the ceiling edge where I cut in but otherwise on coat gave me a very professional finish. There was an area that was not new drywall that had been painted a dark green previously where I put two coats so if you are trying to cover a dark or deep color you may need two.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Zealot69 Streaky, even after 3 coats
This is my first time using the Premium Plus Ultra line, and I am sorely disappointed. Painted a dark blue (Tidal) over a sky blue, and while the color is great, the coverage is terrible. I use quality microfiber rollers and am very careful in application, and I still have huge streaks in the paint. It seems to dry extremely quickly and any touching of existing paint leaves an uneven appearance when trying to blend lanes. I am worried that any future touchups will look awful.
I agree with prior reviewers that the lower-end Behr products are superior to this paint. At thirty-five bucks a gallon, I expect this paint to be hassle-free and look good with two coats. I'm starting coat #4 with the rest of the second gallon, and I really hope that this coat salvages the single wall I'm trying to cover.
I would not recommend this paint to anyone. Stick with lower-end Behr, or go with the Valpsar or Sherwin Williams Cashmere line if you want to stay in this price point. We have had much better luck with them.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Samara Flawless/Odorless/Perfection! What wood paneling?
We redecorated a basement paneling nightmare of a guest room this past weekend and used 1 gallon Ultra Pure White Eggshell Premium. I am super sensitive to odors, and this had no odor unless you were standing with your nose up to the wall. This dried so fast, it was impressive. This was able to cover paneling with a helpful application of Killz Premium primer. We won't use anything else!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BarnGuy No such thing as 1 coat. 2 coats Complete, or 1 coat with touch-ups
After some previous auto paint and body experience, and some time in the construction world, I would normally spend all of paint money at paint stores such as Sherwin or Benjamin. However, the days of watered down BEHR paint are over, and the result is a reliably good product every time. The paint is consistently mixed, and coats cover very well.
I painted this directly over new drywall and compound, as well as some painted wall, and it definitely covered in one coat. However, it left behind some spots due to the roller running dry. A second think coat made the wall look complete, NO PRIMER NEEDED!
On another wall, I was running short, and ended up having to stretch a quart. Same thing, the roller left a few speckles behind, but I touched them up as I painted the edges and everything blended very well, no need for a second coat. I highly recommend this product. As usual, everything cleaned up with water.
ProTip: If leaving the roller and brush unattended for a while (for lunch), just wrap them in a bag (the home depot bag).

We saw a great review of this paint in Consumer Reports, so we tried it. The room is 9 x 13 with two doors and two windows. The color before I started painting was a light blue. The Behr paint color was a light orange. This paint did not even cover 3 walls and we could still see the blue underneath. This is the worst paint I have ever used.
