For a 15 x 12 living room, it took 2.5 gallons of paint. Original color was a medium to dark slate blue going to Polar Bear White. It claims to have a primer in the paint but in my opinion you are better off with a cheap primer followed by a less expensive paint. It took three coats in some places. The color is great. The quality is great. The coverage is very bad and it's going to get expensive. If money is no object, then get yourself a truckload of this and go for it.

At fist I was worried about the color matching like the color swatch.I was pleasantly surprised when the color matched perfectly. It is a beautiful color!! I'm going to paint my bathroom this color too!

I painted a small 10 x 12 room that originally had a light yellow and light purple on the walls. this behr paint with primer was a pink color. I used 1 gallon to paint all 4 walls with 2 coats of paint. after everything dried you can still see the original colors under this new behr paint. Now i have to buy 1 more gallon to paint a 3rd coat to cover everything up. that's 70 bucks for a tiny room. not worth the money

We wanted a one-coat cover to finish a repair project. Color was a perfect match and texture is great

I love this paint and recommend it to all of my friends. When I moved my art gallery into a new location, we were faced with red walls and grass skirts. Once the skirts were removed, I thought it would take many coats of paint to cover the red, but with one coat it was gone. We did two, just to be safe, but it only took a day to complete 800-plus square feet beautifully, turning a tiki tanning salon into an elegant gallery space almost overnight. The paint goes on smoothly, doesn't run like other top brands and doesn't dry so fast that you run into problems going back over areas you missed. I can't say enough about this paint.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Leigh Great coverage and colors
I manage a salon suites with 50 suites. We allow our new tenants to choose their own colors for their suite. Why? Color is so important to how you feel and also wall color is important to a colorist to make sure their hair colors they do look true. I send my new tenants to Home Depot and ask them to pick up paint chips from Behr. I specify Behr because it covers so well. No matter what color was on the wall before we get a great true color. If they come back with another manufacturers color chip, I get Home Depot to make the color but with Behr paint. The Ultra Interior is our contractors choice as well. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by PaintMaven Honestly keep going back to this paint
I originally started using Behr over a decade ago after they got a great Consumer Reports review. And yes, I've tried other paint brands, even paints from dedicated paint stores. Every time I try a different paint, I return to Behr. It just works. And I'm a pretty big do-it-yourselfer and I've owned a few houses and a rental property, so I've had more than my fair share of painting rooms. Behr is easy because the colors come out accurately, they work like they are supposed to, and they stay vibrant. I have a pretty busy life, so it's good to know this is a product that consistently works. Coverage is very good. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
