I have used Behr paints for many years in over 10 different apartments that I have rented.
I wanted to paint over a medium purple in a small dining room. This project took me 1/2 a day ton two other occasions and it has never taken more than one gallon pain let alone almost two days. The dining area is small and has only one full wall the other walls have a single door, a double window pane and the entryy wall has two narrow columns.
I showed the rep the photo of the current color and he recommended I do the the primer and paint in one.
It took me the labor day weekend, a second trip for another gallon of paint because I had to go over it a third time, and still the trims and some areas show a grey like look to them because this paint refused to cover, took forever to dry and was way stronger odor then I am accustomed to.
Had I just primed and then painted I would have been done in half the time nevermind the re$ources.
Not at all what I thought it would be and I do not feel home depot delivers on its promise with this product.
The tinting seem to be ok but instead of what I thought would be a deep coral, its more red :(

My wife used this paint in one of the spare rooms and found it difficult to use and covered poorly. My brother in law worked for years as a contractor and refused to use Behr paint after using it once. My father also refuses to use Behr paint after painting a hallway. Did I listen? No because the reviews were good. I painted a bathroom with this paint and needed two coats to cover Glidden paint a few shades darker. Any area I cut in with a brush needed three or four coats. The areas of the wall I repaired and primed needed four coats to cover the Kilz I used. Behr paint was a huge mistake.
I WILL NEVER USE ANY BEHR PAINT EVER AGAIN.

I have been using real paint, Sherwin Williams and Ben Moore, but found myself needing to quickly paint a bathroom and thought I could save time by picking this product up while I was at Home Depot for other items. Compared to the above mentioned brands, this paint is messy to work with (much thinner, drippier, prone to splatter) and covers very poorly. I have just applied the paint, so I don't know yet how well it will hold up. I doubt it will be any better than Williams or Moore (I've been pleased with those) and my disappointment with the application of the Behr is enough to never buy it again.

Regardless of the color you choose (because if it's too dark or too light, that's really your own fault) - the color I bought with this paint was very accurate and it went on the wall smoothly. I did need two coats, but barely. Very happy with this paint and will buy again. Note: In addition to this paint, buying good painting brushes also helps. You get what you pay for. I purchased really good brushes so I'm sure that helped as well.

This is the first time I've tried paint and primer in one, and what a disappointment. The consistency is more like water than paint, so very difficult to apply. The mixture separates very quickly, and I had to stir constantly. It took longer than normal to dry - was tacky for hours. But the worst part was after the room was finished. Due to other work in the room, we nicked the paint in a couple of places. Instead of just brushing off and easily repaired, the paint peeled off in huge sections. It was almost rubbery and was very difficult to get the peeling to stop once started. Now painted over, it is obvious where touch ups were made. I hate it.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Behr Never will I buy Behr Paints
I primed and prepped doors in a bedroom and used this Satin finish in Ultra Pure White. The coverage is horrible. I had to use 3-4 coats just to even out the colors. I used a high end brush with a tapered end and took my time. No matter what I did, this paint cured horribly and was basically transparent in patches. After the third coat, it started to look somewhat acceptable. I will switch to Benjamin Moore or Sherwin Williams. The low price of Behr caught my eye but after wasting an entire afternoon triple painting a door, it was a very expensive mistake.

This color is darker than it looks, I was really surprised by how dark it was. I will never order paint online again. I knew this from the beginning, but tried it anyway I made it work with a very Light Accent Wall
